Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Yes—once Summertime Saga is downloaded and installed, you can play it without staying connected to the internet. That conclusion is supported by the official local game downloads and the technical help page’s description of local installation and save files. The official pages reviewed do not explicitly promise that every feature works offline, so treat internet access as necessary for downloading the game and potentially for updates or online supporter services—not as a stated requirement for an installed play session.
Does Summertime Saga need internet to play?
For ordinary play after installation, a continuous internet connection does not appear to be required. The official download page provides platform builds, while the game’s technical help page describes local installation and save files. Those details support offline play, though they are not an explicit developer guarantee covering every feature.

You will need internet to get the installer. You may also need it to download updates or use online supporter services. If you plan to play away from a connection, install the game and launch it once while online, then check that it opens and your save is available before you leave.
Which platform can you install it on?
The official download page lists builds for Windows/Linux, macOS, and Android. It says an iOS build is not possible because of Apple’s publishing restrictions. Platform availability can change, so check the official download page for current options rather than relying on a third-party download site.

Android installation
The technical help page specifies Android 5.0 or higher and recommends 2 GB of free space. It directs Android users to download the APK from the official website and install it manually; the page says the game is not on Google Play. Follow the current official instructions, and only install an APK obtained from the game’s official site.
Stable or Preview: which build should you choose?
The official page’s version details are time-sensitive. At the time reflected in the reviewed information, it listed Stable v0.20.16 and Preview v21.0.0-wip.7944; check the live download page because version names and availability may have changed.

Where should you download it?
Use the official download page. The creator has warned that unofficial Summertime Saga websites may be scams or distribute malware; see the creator’s warning. Avoid third-party APK repositories, especially if an unfamiliar site asks you to install extra apps or provide account details.
