No documented supported method was found for showing PC-game video on the original 2008 Nintendo DSi. Nintendo’s listed connections do not include video input, and its documentation describes Wi-Fi as internet access—not as a live PC-video feed. An unofficial project called DSi2Key sends controls from the DSi to a PC, which is the reverse of putting the PC game’s picture on the handheld.
Why the DSi cannot simply act as a PC monitor
Nintendo lists the DSi’s display as 3.25 inches and its connections as an SD memory card slot, DS card slot, AC adapter connector, and stereo headphone/microphone connection. That list includes no video input, so there is no documented way to connect a PC’s video output directly to the DSi as you would to a monitor.

This does not prove that no custom experiment could ever be built. It does mean the available documentation does not establish a supported way to receive and display a PC game’s live video on the original DSi.

The DSi Browser is a web browser, not a documented PC-game streaming client. In Nintendo’s 2008 announcement, Satoru Iwata described it as “An Internet browser, co-developed by Opera and Nintendo and comprehensively tuned exclusively for Nintendo DSi.” That statement describes the browser’s purpose; it does not claim that it can receive a PC’s game video.

Nintendo’s manual also describes the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector as a way for a PC to act as an internet access point for the DSi. An access point provides a network connection; the manual does not describe it as a live video feed from the PC to the handheld.
There is an additional historical limitation: Nintendo says online features of Nintendo DS and DSi software that used Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection were discontinued on May 20, 2014. That service should not be treated as a current route for streaming PC games.

DSi2Key controls a PC; it does not display the PC’s game
The unofficial DSi2Key project describes the DSi sending key signals to a PC, emulating a PC gamepad, and using the touchscreen to control the PC mouse. These are input features: they let the handheld send commands to the computer. The project does not describe returning the PC’s video to the DSi screen.

What a custom approach would still need to prove
A project that claims to put a PC game on a DSi would need to demonstrate more than remote controls or network access. The available sources do not establish a working method, supported display resolution or frame rate, latency, connection or security requirements, control mapping for streamed play, or compatibility with the original 2008 model. Without those details, a claim that a particular setup streams PC games to this DSi is not substantiated.
