No—not through a documented Tinder feature. Tinder says users cannot search for a specific person, and its newer Search feature is designed to match interests and lifestyle, not names or social media handles. Tinder’s help material describes no guest lookup option. That does not prove that every profile is inaccessible through every public web surface; it means Tinder does not provide a supported way to look up a named person without joining.
Can you search for a specific person on Tinder?
No. Tinder’s help article, updated December 4, 2024, states: “You can’t search for a specific person on Tinder.” Its Discovery preferences affect the kinds of profiles recommended to you; they are not a name-search tool.

The official help pages reviewed do not describe a way for someone without an account to search Tinder profiles as a guest. Be cautious of claims that a people-finder service can reliably identify a person’s Tinder profile: Tinder’s documented features do not support targeted lookup by name or social handle.
What Tinder’s Search feature can—and cannot—do
Tinder describes Search as a test for iOS users in select markets. Where available, it uses profile information to match searches about interests and lifestyle. Because Search is a limited test, you may not see it in the app. Its availability may change. Even where it is available, it is not a workaround for looking up a particular person.

- Open Tinder and go to Settings.
- Open Discovery.
- Turn off Enable Discovery, following Tinder’s Discovery Settings instructions.
Tinder says this stops your profile from being shown as a recommendation to new people. It does not remove existing matches or conversations, and someone you previously liked may still see your profile and like you back. Tinder’s profile-hiding guidance explains those limits.

Tinder’s help pages explain its own features and account settings; they do not make a comprehensive claim about every public web page, search-engine result, third-party data source, or possible browser flow. So the accurate answer is limited: Tinder documents no guest lookup method and no feature for searching for a specific person by name. Avoid treating that as proof that a profile could never appear anywhere outside Tinder’s supported search tools.
