No—not as a native Samsung Notes note. Samsung’s official support guidance reviewed here describes Samsung Notes on Galaxy devices and Galaxy Book PCs, but does not document direct editing on an iPhone. The practical option is to export the note to a standard format such as PDF, Word, or text, then open that file in an iPhone app that supports it. That edits or annotates an exported copy, not the original note in Samsung Notes.
How to open a Samsung Note on an iPhone
Export the note from Samsung Notes on a compatible Samsung device, then transfer or save the exported file somewhere accessible on the iPhone. Samsung lists PDF, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, image, text, and Samsung Notes (.SDOCX) as export formats. Available screens and settings can vary by device model and software version, as Samsung notes in its export guidance.

- On the Samsung device: open the note in Samsung Notes and use its export or save-as option to choose a format. The exact screen may differ by model and software version.
- Choose a format for the task: select PDF for a page-like copy, Word or text for content you want to revise, or image for a visual snapshot.
- Move the exported file to the iPhone: use a transfer or storage method available to you, then open it in an app that supports that format. Samsung’s cited instructions establish the export options, not a specific transfer method.
For PDFs, Apple Notes can attach a file from Files or Mail and use Markup to annotate or sketch on it. See Apple’s iPhone PDF instructions. The result remains a PDF; marking it up does not convert it back into an editable Samsung Notes note.
Which Samsung Notes export format should you choose?
| Export format | Best fit on iPhone | What to expect |
|---|---|---|
| Viewing a page-like copy and adding annotations | Samsung lists PDF export, and Apple Notes supports attaching and marking up PDFs. Markup does not restore the original native Samsung note. Samsung export guidance; Apple PDF guidance. | |
| Microsoft Word | Continuing to edit text in a compatible document app | Samsung lists Word export, but its guidance does not guarantee preservation of formatting or Samsung-specific features. Samsung export guidance. |
| Text | Reusing or revising plain text | Samsung lists text export. Plain text is not a full-fidelity container for handwriting, page layout, or other rich note features. Samsung export guidance. |
| Image | Keeping a visual snapshot | Samsung lists image export; image content is not ordinary editable text. Samsung export guidance. |
| PowerPoint | Reusing a presentation-style converted output | Samsung lists PowerPoint export. The result is a conversion, not a native Samsung note. Samsung export guidance. |
| .SDOCX | Keeping a Samsung Notes-format file for a compatible Samsung workflow | Samsung lists this format, but the official guidance cited here does not document opening or editing it as a native Samsung note on iPhone. Samsung export guidance. |
What happens to handwriting, formatting, and attachments?
Samsung’s list of export types does not promise that every Samsung-specific feature or visual detail survives conversion. Choose the output according to what matters: editable text, a visually recognizable page, handwriting or annotations, or the ability to reopen the result in Samsung Notes. The official guidance cited here does not compare export fidelity across formats or establish whether handwriting, audio associations, and exact page layout will survive Word or text conversion.
#1 Best Overall
- This phone is unlocked and compatible with any carrier of choice on GSM and CDMA networks (e.g. AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon, US Cellular, Cricket, Metro, Tracfone, Mint Mobile, etc.).
- Please check with your carrier to verify compatibility.
- The device does not come with headphones or a SIM card. It does include a generic (Mfi certified) charging cable.
- Tested for battery health and guaranteed to have a minimum battery capacity of 80%.
For a note with important formatting or attachments, keep an untouched source copy before converting it. This gives you the original if the exported version does not retain the details you need.
Apple also warns that when an iPhone note contains a multipage PDF or scanned document, exporting that note as a PDF includes only the first page of the original attachment. Check the exported result if an attachment has multiple pages. Apple’s export or print notes guide also documents exporting iPhone notes as PDF or Markdown, or opening them in Pages; those are iPhone Notes export options, not a way to edit a Samsung note natively.

Does Samsung’s OneNote feed let you edit Samsung Notes on iPhone?
No. Samsung describes syncing notes to a OneNote feed viewable through Outlook, but says notes cannot be edited or removed from that feed. Changes must be made in Samsung Notes itself. Treat the feed as a viewing and sync option, not an iPhone editing workaround. See Samsung’s OneNote sync guidance.
Does Samsung Notes for PC provide an iPhone workaround?
No. A PC workflow is separate from iPhone support. Samsung says its Samsung Notes PC app is optimized for Galaxy Books and may not be compatible with other Windows computers; its PC support page also describes Samsung Cloud sync. That guidance does not establish an iPhone app or native iPhone editing. It also does not provide a complete device-by-device feature matrix, so availability should not be generalized beyond what Samsung documents.
