Often, yes—if the change is a setting, display option, notification mode, or app that Android lets you disable. Removing a Quick Settings tile only removes the shortcut, however, and Google’s cited guidance does not document a general way to roll back an installed Android system update. The right steps depend on what changed, your Pixel model, and its Android version.
First identify what changed
Look for the feature by name in Settings search. To check your software details, open Settings > About phone > Android version; this screen shows the Android version, security update, Google Play system update, and build number. Those details help identify which instructions apply, but checking update status does not itself reverse a change.

Undo a setting or change how it appears
Quick Settings controls
Swipe down from the top of the screen and tap a control’s icon to switch it on or off. Google’s Pixel Phone Help puts it plainly: “To turn a setting on or off, tap the icon.” To change which controls appear, swipe down twice and tap Edit, then add, remove, or rearrange tiles. Removing a tile changes the Quick Settings menu; it does not by itself disable the underlying feature. Some Quick Settings instructions apply only to Android 11 and later. Look under Settings > Display & touch; some options are under Advanced. The location can depend on the Pixel generation. For example, Google’s current guide places Night Light under Comfort filters on Pixel 10, except Pixel 10a; Pixel 9 and earlier and Pixel 10a use Display & touch > Night Light. Always-on Display has its own switch. Use the relevant setting to change the feature rather than assuming that one display path applies to every Pixel. Do Not Disturb and other modes
Turn a mode on or off from Quick Settings, or open Settings > Modes to adjust its schedule and notification filters. This can undo a mode’s current effect or change when it activates without changing unrelated settings. Google’s guide to managing modes covers these controls.
At a Glance
At a Glance has separate controls for whether it runs actively and whether it appears on the home screen. Turning off Show on home screen hides it there, but it remains available on the lock screen. If you want to stop its activity rather than just hide its home-screen presentation, use Use At a Glance. Google’s At a Glance instructions describe these options.

Disable a preinstalled app, if Android allows it
Some preinstalled system apps cannot be deleted, but Google says most can be disabled. Open Settings > Apps > All apps, select the app, and tap Disable if that option is available. Disabling an app is app management, not a universal way to turn off Pixel system features. Google’s app-management guidance explains the distinction.
If the change came with an Android update
Do not assume an installed system update can be rolled back. Google’s cited Android version and update guide explains how to check update status and says downloaded Pixel updates become active after a restart, but it does not give a general rollback procedure for an update already applied.
If the phone behaves unexpectedly after an update, Google recommends checking for updates and restarting, then using Pixel support options if the problem persists. Available troubleshooting steps can vary by device; see Google’s Pixel help and support guidance. A factory reset is not an established or reliable way to reverse an unspecified feature change.
