Restream can schedule prerecorded playlists to YouTube and start them automatically, but its playlist feature does not loop: a playlist can run for up to 24 hours, and scheduling another playlist afterward creates a separate stream with a two-minute buffer. That can schedule long blocks of playback, but it is not a seamless 24/7 loop.
What Restream can do with a YouTube playlist
Restream’s Upload & Stream feature lets you upload prerecorded videos, arrange them into a playlist, and schedule that playlist as a YouTube event. Once scheduled, playback can start automatically without keeping your laptop plugged in. That unattended start does not mean the playlist repeats indefinitely.

Restream Help Center documentation describes these playlist limits: up to 24 hours of runtime and up to 40 video items. Videos can be duplicated within the playlist, which can extend playback, but the 24-hour playlist limit still applies. Restream’s playlist guide explains the upload, ordering, and scheduling workflow.
Why a scheduled playlist is not a 24/7 loop
Restream states that playlists themselves do not support looping. Its separate video-loop feature repeats one prerecorded video, not a playlist: Restream documents a maximum of 10 repeats and a maximum resulting stream length of 40 hours. That feature is available on its Marathon and Media Upload & Stream add-on plans. For a playlist of multiple clips, duplicating items is a workaround for a longer finite playlist, not an infinite loop.

Note: Video input supports 4K30/60Hz and 1080p120/144Hz. Does not support 4K120Hz/144Hz. Output supports up to 2K30Hz.
- 【Plug and Play】No driver or external power supply required, true PnP. Once plugged in, the device is identified automatically as a webcam. Detect input and adjust output automatically. Won't occupy CPU, optional audio capture. No freeze with correct setting.
- 【Compatible with Multiple Systems】suitable for Windows and Mac OS. High speed USB 3.0 technology and superior low latency technology makes it easier for you to transmit live streaming to Twitch, Youtube, Facebook, Twitter, OBS, Potplayer and VLC.
- 【HDMI LOOP-OUT】Based on the high-speed USB 3.0 technology, it can capture one single channel HD HDMI video signal. There is no delay when you are playing game live.
- 【Support Mic-in for Commentary】Rybozen capture card has microphone input and you can use it to add external commentary when playing a game. Please note: it only accepts 3.5mm TRS standard microphone headset.
You can schedule playlists back-to-back, but Restream says they run as separate streams with a two-minute buffer between them. This means the YouTube broadcast is not one uninterrupted event, and the gap is part of the documented workflow. See Restream’s video-loop guidance for the distinction between looping an individual video and looping a playlist.
How to schedule a prerecorded playlist to YouTube
- Check access to Upload & Stream. Restream says playlists are available with purchased Upload & Stream add-on tiers. Its Help Center article accessed October 3, 2026 lists Marathon at $79/month, with a four-hour video library and maximum 1080p resolution, and Media at $239/month, with a 12-hour library and maximum 4K resolution. These are the prices and limits shown in that article, not guaranteed future prices; check Restream’s current plan details before subscribing.
- Connect the YouTube channel. Authorize the channel you intend to use. Restream says YouTube requires phone verification and that first-time streaming may require a 24-hour wait after verification. Confirm the channel owner’s account is connected and that the channel is enabled for live streaming. Restream’s YouTube setup guidance describes its integration requirements.
- Upload and arrange your videos. In Restream’s Upload & Stream workflow, upload the prerecorded files, create a playlist, and order the videos. Keep the total playlist runtime within 24 hours and the item count at or below 40. Duplicate clips only if repeating them is acceptable to your audience; duplication does not make the playlist recurring.
- Schedule the playlist as an event. Set the YouTube destination and event details, then choose the scheduled start time. Restream says scheduled video files and playlists go live automatically at that time, even if your laptop is unplugged. If you schedule another playlist afterward, allow for the documented two-minute buffer and treat it as a new stream.
- Check the broadcast and archive expectations. Confirm the event starts on the intended YouTube channel. YouTube says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived, while streams exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all. Do not assume that a 24-hour broadcast will produce a complete YouTube archive; if preserving the full recording matters, plan shorter broadcast segments or keep a separate recording.
What to consider if you are streaming from India
The Restream documentation reviewed does not state an India-specific restriction for this playlist workflow, but it also does not confirm availability for every account or regional circumstance. Treat that as an absence of a documented India-specific restriction—not a guarantee that every account can use the feature.

YouTube’s mobile live-stream page lists India among territories where mobile streaming is available, but that mobile-specific information does not establish Restream availability or eligibility for prerecorded playlist streaming. Do not apply mobile-only requirements to this workflow. YouTube separately says channels must be verified and must not have had live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days. Check YouTube’s live-streaming setup requirements for your channel.
Copyright and channel risks to check before scheduling
You are responsible for having the rights needed to use every video and audio track in a live broadcast. YouTube’s live-stream terms require content providers to have the necessary rights for worldwide exploitation of live content and to follow applicable laws and regulations in the territory of the stream. This matters especially for music, devotional recordings, film clips, and third-party videos: a file being available to upload does not establish that you may rebroadcast it. Review YouTube’s Terms of Service and clear the relevant rights before scheduling.
