What’s actually slowing this PC down?

Potentially, yes—but there is no blanket guarantee. Jio AirFiber can handle a continuous 4K 60fps YouTube Live playlist if the connection at your location sustains enough usable download speed for the actual video, with headroom for other devices. Jio’s advertised maximum speed is not a promise of sustained real-world performance. The reliable test is to play your actual playlist at 2160p60, at the intended device and location, including during busy household periods.
This is about watching a YouTube Live stream. If you mean broadcasting your own 4K60 stream, the bandwidth direction and requirements are different.

What speed does watching 4K60 YouTube Live need?
There is no universal download-speed threshold established here for watching YouTube Live at 4K60. The exact bitrate varies with the video, and the connection must remain stable as well as fast enough. A speed test is only a snapshot; the actual playlist and playback device are the more useful test.
Do not treat YouTube’s live encoder bitrate table as a viewer download-speed requirement. YouTube’s current live guidance gives 2160p60 recommendations of 35 Mbps for AV1/H.265 and 50 Mbps for H.264, with minimums of 10 Mbps and 14 Mbps respectively. These figures are for a creator sending a live stream to YouTube, not for a viewer downloading one. YouTube also says 4K live streams are optimized for quality with normal latency rather than its low-latency option. YouTube Help’s live encoder settings explains the creator-side settings.

What Jio’s published figures do—and do not—tell you
Jio’s regional plan information advertises speeds up to 1 Gbps and symmetric upload and download speeds for listed plans. Offerings and features depend on region. These are plan specifications, not measured results for a particular AirFiber installation: they do not establish sustained throughput, latency, packet loss, or busy-hour performance at your address. Check the applicable plan terms and availability for your location at Jio’s plan page.
Jio’s generic data-use estimate says Ultra HD video can consume up to 7 GB per hour, while cautioning that usage varies by app or website. Treat this as a broad estimate, not a precise forecast for a particular YouTube playlist. Check your plan’s terms and usage in MyJio; the available information does not establish a single fair-use threshold or post-threshold speed for every AirFiber plan. Jio’s video data-usage estimate gives its qualification.

How to test your AirFiber connection for the actual playlist
- Test where you watch. Run repeated download-speed tests on the playback device, or on a wired device at the same location as the TV or player. Note the results at ordinary and busy times; do not use the advertised plan maximum as your result.
- Play the target playlist. Set YouTube playback quality to 2160p60 if the option is available. Let it run for a meaningful interval and check whether playback buffers or drops to a lower resolution. Use YouTube playback diagnostics if available to confirm the resolution being received.
- Repeat under normal household load. Test in the evening or another busy period, with the household’s usual devices and activities active. Other streams, downloads, cloud backups, and video calls consume headroom.
- Compare Wi-Fi and Ethernet if possible. A Cat6 Ethernet cable can help distinguish a local Wi-Fi issue from a problem farther upstream, provided the player supports wired networking. A stable wired result but unstable Wi-Fi points toward the local wireless segment; similar failures on both leave several possibilities, including AirFiber signal, congestion, routing, or variation in the stream.
- Try a lower quality if it buffers. Record whether reducing playback quality makes the playlist stable. That is a practical fallback, not proof that a different plan will solve the issue.
How to interpret the result
- 2160p60 stays selected and plays without buffering during representative use: your setup is handling this workload in practice under those conditions. Keep in mind that conditions can vary.
- It works off-peak but buffers or falls in quality at busy times: the connection may lack headroom under peak conditions. Repeat the test with household traffic in mind and compare Wi-Fi with Ethernet.
- Ethernet works while Wi-Fi does not: focus first on Wi-Fi placement or interference. A cable only addresses the local network segment; it cannot improve AirFiber radio coverage, service limits, or upstream congestion.
- Both wired and Wi-Fi playback struggle: a local wireless problem is less likely, but this test alone cannot identify whether the cause is the AirFiber link, congestion, routing, or the stream itself.
Jio’s published speed figures cannot determine how your individual installation will perform. If you compare plans or connection types, compare sustained download performance at your address during busy periods, latency and packet loss under load, plan data terms, and whether the bottleneck is Wi-Fi or the upstream connection. Consider a wired fiber option only if it is available at your exact address.

If your goal is to keep a prerecorded YouTube playlist live 24/7, watching it over AirFiber is different from operating the broadcast. StreamNeo keeps an uploaded video or playlist streaming to YouTube from the cloud: upload the video, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. Nothing has to stay on at home; it plays the uploaded video rather than broadcasting from a camera.
