If a PageCrawl.io screenshot omits images farther down a page, the images may not have loaded yet: many sites fetch them only after scrolling brings them near the viewport. A full-page screenshot does not necessarily trigger the same scroll and visibility events as a person browsing. Scroll through the page before capture, give images time to finish loading, and use a page-specific readiness condition when available. PageCrawl’s public product page describes browser actions and full-page capture, but does not identify a dedicated lazy-image setting.
Why lazy-loaded images are missing
Lazy loading defers image loading until the browser considers an image close to the visible area, or until site JavaScript responds to a visibility or scroll event. Common implementations use native browser lazy loading, IntersectionObserver, or a JavaScript library that loads content as it enters the viewport.

A full-page image can include the entire document while still missing images that were never requested or finished rendering. Capturing a long page is not necessarily the same as scrolling through it: if the capture process does not trigger the events the site expects, images can remain placeholders. How to troubleshoot a PageCrawl capture
- Reproduce the problem. Capture the affected URL and note which images or sections are absent. Check whether the missing content sits below the initial viewport.
- Scroll through the document. Use the page’s normal browser workflow to move down in viewport-sized steps. Pause after each movement so the page can respond. A single full-page capture may not reproduce those visibility events.
- Wait for loading to finish. Allow image requests and page scripts to settle before capturing. A fixed delay may help, but a condition tied to the page—such as waiting for a relevant element to appear—is more dependable when the capture workflow supports it.
- Capture again and compare. If scrolling loads the missing sections, the issue is likely that the original capture did not trigger the page’s loading behavior early enough. If content appears only after a click or other interaction, identify that interaction and use a workflow capable of performing it before capture.
- Check PageCrawl’s available controls. Its public page advertises a JavaScript-enabled browser, full-page screenshots, and actions such as waiting for text or clicking. The reviewed public information does not document a specific “scroll before screenshot” or “wait for lazy images” switch, so check the current controls for your account or ask PageCrawl support rather than relying on an assumed setting.
Choose a capture method that matches the page

What site owners should check
If you control the page, make sure deferred content loads when it becomes visible, and avoid lazy-loading content expected to appear immediately on opening the page. Google Search Central advises: “To ensure that Google sees all content on your page, make sure that your lazy-loading implementation loads all relevant content whenever it is visible in the viewport.” See Google’s lazy-loading guidance.

Test the rendered page, not just its initial HTML. Google recommends checking that image or video URLs appear in the rendered HTML’s src attribute. If a URL is missing there even after the content becomes visible, investigate the page’s lazy-loading implementation rather than only changing the screenshot wait.

Common problems and fixes
- Images are still missing after a short wait: A delay alone cannot trigger an image that loads only after it enters view. Scroll through the page, then wait for the relevant requests or page condition.
- Only some lower sections are absent: Capture each affected area after scrolling it into view. This can reveal whether loading depends on visibility or on a particular interaction.
- A click makes the content appear: The page requires more than passive scrolling. Identify the required interaction and use a capture workflow that can perform it before taking the screenshot.
- The image never appears in the rendered page: For a site you own, inspect the implementation and verify the rendered image URL in
src. A longer screenshot delay will not fix a broken or incomplete loading implementation.

Why can a full-page screenshot omit images even when the top of the page looks correct?
Images farther down may not be requested until scrolling or another visibility event brings them into range.
