Yes—but it depends on which playlist you mean. Editing a saved playlist on your YouTube channel is different from changing the videos feeding a live broadcast. To change what viewers are watching now, edit the queue in the encoder or streaming service sending the stream to YouTube; changing a saved YouTube playlist does not, by itself, change the live feed.
First, identify which playlist you mean

Change a saved YouTube playlist
If you mean the playlist viewers can open on your channel, edit that playlist in YouTube. YouTube’s desktop guidance describes dragging videos up or down to reorder them and using the remove-from-playlist action to take a video out.

- Open the saved playlist on YouTube and use its edit controls.
- Drag a video up or down to change its position, or remove it using the playlist’s removal control.
- Check the saved playlist page to confirm the new order or contents.
This updates the saved playlist, not necessarily the separate media feed already being broadcast live.

Change the queue feeding the live broadcast
For the videos playing inside the live show, open the encoder or hosting service that produces and sends the broadcast. YouTube describes the stream URL and stream key as the connection details an encoder uses to deliver its feed. As YouTube Help puts it, “Stream keys are like your YouTube stream’s password and address.” (Manage live stream settings)
- Identify the encoder or streaming service currently sending the broadcast to YouTube.
- Open that system’s live source, playlist, or queue controls and make the intended change there.
- Check the encoder or service preview, then check the YouTube watch page to confirm what viewers receive.
The exact controls and timing are provider-specific. YouTube’s guidance does not establish whether an edit takes effect immediately, waits until the next item, pauses playback, or causes a reconnect. Confirm the behavior in the system you use rather than promising a seamless change.

Plan for the limits of a 24/7 stream
A continuous broadcast is not the same as an indefinitely replayable archive. YouTube says DVR capabilities may be limited or unavailable on streams longer than 12 hours. It also says a stream that exceeds 12 hours may not be captured at all, and recommends keeping a local recording as a backup. These are DVR and archive cautions, not a rule that the live stream must end after 12 hours. (Turn on DVR on live streams; Archive live streams)

- If viewers need to rewind, do not assume DVR will remain available throughout a very long broadcast.
- If you need a replay, keep a separate local archive rather than relying solely on YouTube to capture a stream over 12 hours.
- Test playlist edits with your encoder or hosting service so you know how it handles a live change and can verify the result.
