That is an unusually long result for a 16-inch workstation—but it is a controlled benchmark, not a promise that every configuration will run that long in everyday use. StorageReview tested in Balanced mode with the screen at 50% brightness.
What does the 24-hour result mean?
StorageReview published the result on August 11, 2026, after running its PCMark 10 Modern Office battery test until the laptop shut down. The outlet reported 24 hours 43 minutes for the Intel 16s, compared with 15 hours 5 minutes for the AMD 16s, 11 hours 43 minutes for the Pro Precision 7 16, and 15 hours 52 minutes for the Lenovo ThinkPad P14s Gen 7. These are results from StorageReview’s stated test method, not estimates of runtime across different work, brightness, wireless, or battery conditions. StorageReview’s test and review

The review says the Intel and AMD 16s comparison systems both used 70Wh batteries. Even so, the result should not be generalized to every 16s: battery capacity and other specifications vary by configuration.
Which configuration produced the result?
The tested PW516260 was a high-end review configuration, not necessarily the entry-level model. It combined an Intel Core Ultra X9 388H vPro processor with 16 cores and 16 threads, integrated Intel Arc Pro B390 graphics, 64GB of LPCAMM2-8533 memory, a 1TB Gen5 self-encrypting SSD, and a 16-inch 2560 × 1600 IPS display rated at 500 nits and 100% sRGB. Its starting weight was 4.2 pounds.

- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Dell’s US product page lists different choices, including processors ranging from Core Ultra 5 to Core Ultra X9, 16GB, 32GB, or 64GB of memory, multiple SSD options, WUXGA or WQXGA displays, and 57Wh or 70Wh batteries. The tested machine’s specifications and endurance therefore do not describe every system sold under the model name. Dell’s official US product page
How does battery life compare with performance?
StorageReview reported a PCMark 10 overall score of 9,994 and said the Intel model led its comparison group in that test. Its review also found the integrated Arc Pro B390 capable for an integrated GPU. Those findings make the Intel 16s a compelling balance of battery endurance and general workstation performance, but they do not make it the right choice for every graphics workload.

| Workstation | StorageReview PCMark 10 Modern Office result | Graphics context |
|---|---|---|
| Dell Pro Precision 5 16s Intel | 24 hours 43 minutes | Integrated Intel Arc Pro B390 |
| Dell Pro Precision 5 16s AMD | 15 hours 5 minutes | StorageReview found it ahead in some heavily threaded rendering and y-cruncher workloads |
| Dell Pro Precision 7 16 | 11 hours 43 minutes | Discrete RTX PRO 3000; substantially greater GPU performance in graphics-heavy tasks, according to StorageReview |
| Lenovo ThinkPad P14s Gen 7 | 15 hours 52 minutes | Not stated in the cited review comparison |
All runtime figures in the table are StorageReview results from its stated test, published in 2026; they are not guarantees for ordinary use. If your work depends on substantially more GPU throughput, the review points to the discrete-GPU Pro Precision 7 16 as the model to compare. If heavily threaded rendering or y-cruncher is central to your workload, note that StorageReview found the AMD 16s ahead in some of those tests.
