Maggie Fanari, CEO of J. Rothschild Capital Management and an investor in Anthropic, is reported to believe the AI company could keep creating value after a public listing if its growth compounds over the long term. That is an investment thesis, not a forecast supported by Anthropic financial disclosures. The sources cited here do not establish that Anthropic has announced or completed an IPO.
What is Fanari’s argument?
A Bloomberg program listing characterizes Fanari’s view as the possibility that Anthropic can continue creating value after an IPO by compounding growth over time. The listing gives a summary rather than a transcript, so this is a paraphrase—not a verified direct quotation. Bloomberg

The idea is straightforward: a public listing would not, by itself, end a company’s growth prospects. A business may continue to build value if it can expand while sustaining attractive economics. But the broad thesis does not establish how fast Anthropic might grow, what that growth would cost, or what price public investors might pay for it.

What is established about Anthropic and an IPO?
RIT Capital Partners’ 2025 annual report says the trust initiated an investment in Anthropic and describes the company as an AI safety and research company. In an official June 2026 investor communication, RIT again listed Anthropic among its private investments and described it as the AI safety and research business behind Claude. RIT Capital Partners

Those disclosures establish RIT’s investment connection, not the size or current value of its holding, the terms of that investment, or whether Fanari personally owns Anthropic shares. They also do not show that her view is independent of the investment relationship. The materials cited here do not establish an Anthropic IPO announcement, filing, or completed listing.
What would investors need to assess value after a listing?
A public listing could give investors access to financial disclosures that are not provided in the sources cited here. To judge whether growth is translating into durable value, they would need to examine the quality and cost of that growth—not just a headline revenue rate.

- Revenue quality: growth over time, the sources of revenue, customer concentration, and whether customers renew or expand their use.
- Cost to serve: gross margins and the costs of computing and infrastructure needed to deliver products.
- Cash and funding needs: cash burn, capital requirements, and how much additional financing may be needed.
- Shareholder dilution: whether future capital raises or other equity issuance could reduce existing shareholders’ ownership.
- Competitive durability: whether customer demand and the company’s position can hold up as the market develops.
- Valuation: the price investors are asked to pay relative to the company’s disclosed growth, costs, risks, and financing needs.
These are questions for evaluating future disclosures, not findings about Anthropic’s current financial performance. The cited materials do not provide Anthropic revenue, margins, cash burn, valuation, or post-IPO results.

RIT reported a £110 million unrealised gain, equivalent to 4.0 times invested capital, on its SpaceX investment at the point of SpaceX’s IPO in its 2026 half-year report. That is a dated result for a different company and investment; it does not establish Anthropic’s likely IPO performance or the outcome of RIT’s Anthropic holding. RIT Capital Partners
