No, a supervised YouTube kid account cannot host a livestream. Watching is a separate matter: it depends on the kid account’s content setting. Supervised teen accounts are treated differently, and YouTube’s published guidance does not explicitly say whether teen supervision itself adds a livestream-hosting restriction.
Kid accounts: hosting is turned off
YouTube lists creating a livestream among the features turned off for supervised kid accounts. This applies to the account’s ability to host; it does not mean every supervised account is barred from all live content.

Watching YouTube Live is a separate question
For supervised kid accounts, livestream viewing depends on the selected content setting. YouTube says livestream videos are turned off only for the Older kids setting; its family comparison indicates that kids using the Teen or Older teen settings can watch livestreams. These viewing permissions do not grant permission to host.

YouTube describes supervised teen accounts separately from supervised kid accounts. Teens are described as able to access YouTube except for age-restricted content, but YouTube’s reviewed help guidance does not specifically confirm whether teen supervision changes livestream-creation eligibility. Do not assume the kid-account hosting restriction automatically applies to teen accounts.

YouTube’s general livestream guidance requires creators to be at least 16, have a verified channel, and have no livestreaming restriction in the previous 90 days. These conditions apply independently of the supervision question. Check YouTube’s current guidance and the channel’s eligibility before planning a stream.
Under-16s appearing on an adult-owned livestream
YouTube’s guidance says an under-16 participant on an adult-owned livestream must be visibly accompanied by the adult. The adult should be an active co-creator through the described channel-delegate process. YouTube warns that streams featuring 13–15-year-olds who are not visibly accompanied may have live chat disabled and the account may lose access to features; streams that do not meet the minimum-age requirement may be taken down.
