Super Thanks is not available while a stream is live. The catch for a 24/7 broadcast is that YouTube says streams longer than 12 hours may not be captured at all, so you cannot count on the live stream automatically becoming a replay that can receive Super Thanks.
When Super Thanks can be used
YouTube treats Super Thanks as a video feature, not a live-stream payment feature. Its eligibility guidance says it is unavailable on live streams and Premieres while they are live, but can be available on archived long-form videos afterward. See YouTube’s Super Thanks eligibility, availability, and policies.

For support during a live broadcast, the relevant features are Super Chat and Super Stickers, when available to the channel and stream. Super Thanks is the potential post-broadcast option on an eligible video.

The 24/7 archive problem
A replay must exist before viewers can use Super Thanks on it. YouTube says it can automatically archive a live stream that is less than 12 hours, but warns that a stream exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all. A continuous 24/7 broadcast is therefore not guaranteed to produce a complete archive—or any archive—for Super Thanks. Read YouTube’s live-stream archiving guidance.

If the stream does not appear as a video after it ends, there is no archived stream for viewers to thank. YouTube also says creators may post a replay or highlights after a stream; those appear as videos on the channel. That offers another possible route, but it does not guarantee that a replay will qualify for Super Thanks. See YouTube’s guidance on live-stream replays.
Check the archive and channel before relying on Super Thanks
1. Confirm a video is available
Open YouTube Studio and check whether the broadcast appears as an archived video. If it does not, consider whether you can publish a replay or highlights as a separate video. A 24/7 stream may not be fully captured, so verify what was actually retained rather than assuming the entire broadcast is available.

2. Confirm the channel has access to Supers
In YouTube Studio, check whether the Supers section is available and whether Super Thanks is enabled. YouTube’s channel requirements include meeting its fan-funding requirements, being in a location where the feature is available, and accepting and complying with YouTube’s terms and policies. The Supers tab appears in Studio only for eligible channels. Details are in YouTube’s eligibility and policy guidance and its fan-funding feature requirements.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3. Check the video-level restrictions
Even an eligible channel cannot use Super Thanks on every video. YouTube lists these ineligible video conditions:

Check the archived video’s visibility and settings, and resolve any applicable restriction before expecting the Super Thanks button to appear. YouTube may change feature policies, so consult its current eligibility and availability page.
Choose a post-stream path
| Path | What to verify | Main uncertainty |
|---|---|---|
| Use the live stream’s archive | That YouTube retained it as a video, it is long-form, the channel qualifies for Super Thanks, and the video meets the visibility and policy rules. | A 24/7 stream exceeds YouTube’s 12-hour archiving threshold; streams longer than 12 hours may not be captured at all. |
| Publish a replay or highlights | That the replay or highlight is posted as a video and independently meets the channel and video requirements for Super Thanks. | YouTube’s replay guidance does not guarantee that every broadcast will be preserved or that every replay will qualify. |
Neither route makes Super Thanks automatic: an available video and eligible channel are both necessary.

What creators receive from Super Thanks
YouTube’s published guidance says creators receive 70% of Super Thanks revenue recognized by Google after deductions for local sales tax and applicable iOS App Store fees. The help page does not state a publication year for this figure, and an individual creator’s net proceeds are not guaranteed by the stated share. See YouTube’s fan-funding revenue-share information.
