Short answer: the available official Bupa Global pages do not confirm that “Bupa International Plus” is a currently offered plan. Treat it as an unverified policy name until you have the policy schedule and the terms that apply to your country and policy dates. Without those documents, its coverage, price, exclusions and claims rules cannot be reliably reviewed.
Is Bupa International Plus still available?
Its current identity is not established by the official material available here. Bupa Global’s current individual and family pages use plan names such as Major Medical, Select, Premier and Elite; they do not establish that International Plus is one of those plans or an alternative name for one. Bupa’s download centre organizes documents by residence market and product family, so the applicable market matters.

Ask the insurer or broker for the documents that govern the specific cover, rather than relying on a sales-page summary or the name alone:

- Policy schedule: confirm the exact product name, policyholder and insured people, residence market, area of cover, start or renewal date, currency and chosen options.
- Policy wording or membership guide: check that its product and edition match the schedule, and note any endorsements or amendments.
- Written clarification: if the schedule says International Plus but the supplied wording names a different product, ask Bupa to confirm in writing which terms apply.
Bupa Global’s document centre is a place to check available official material, but a general download is not a substitute for the wording attached to your own policy.
What does International Plus cover?
That cannot be answered reliably from the plan name. No benefit, limit, deductible, exclusion, waiting period or eligibility rule should be attributed to International Plus without its applicable schedule and wording.

Bupa Global’s current plan descriptions show that area of cover, annual limit and benefit set vary across its named plans. They provide context for questions to ask, not evidence of International Plus’s benefits. Bupa defines an annual limit on that page as the maximum it will pay for all benefits for each person in each policy year. For the policy you are considering, check how that overall limit interacts with benefit sublimits, co-payments and exclusions in the contract.
Will it cover treatment in the US?
The name alone does not establish whether the United States is within the area of cover. Check the schedule for the insured geography and any US option, then read the wording for geographic restrictions and conditions. Ask for written confirmation if the documents are unclear. Do not assume that a current Bupa plan’s area of cover applies to this policy.

Which costs and exclusions should you check?
Before judging whether the policy is suitable, compare the actual contract against the care you expect to need. These are checks, not claims that International Plus includes any particular benefit:
- Limits and out-of-pocket costs: annual overall limit, per-benefit sublimits, deductible or excess, co-insurance and any caps on treatment.
- Types of care: inpatient and outpatient treatment, cancer care, mental health, emergency evacuation and repatriation, and any maternity, dental or optical cover relevant to you.
- Medical-history rules: treatment of pre-existing conditions, any moratorium or waiting periods, and general exclusions.
- Using the cover: pre-authorisation requirements, direct billing arrangements and the process and deadlines for reimbursement claims.
- Cover over time: renewal terms, age limits, eligibility and what happens if you move country.
For each item, use the wording and schedule—not a feature list for a differently named plan. If a benefit is important, ask the insurer to identify the relevant clause and any applicable limit or condition.

Can you add family members?
Do not assume a spouse, child or other dependant will automatically be covered. Bupa Global’s family plan information says dependants may be included subject to medical assessment. That is general information about its family offering; it does not confirm the acceptance rules for an unidentified International Plus policy. Check the policy’s eligibility criteria and obtain confirmation for each person to be insured.

No reliable International Plus premium is established here. A price for a differently named current plan would not tell you what this policy costs or what cover it buys. Request a quote tied to the correct residence market, insured people, policy dates, area of cover and selected cost-sharing options, then compare it with the corresponding schedule and wording.

How do you make a claim?
The exact claims process is unverified without the policy documents. Before treatment, check whether the wording requires pre-authorisation and how to arrange it; for reimbursement, confirm the required records, submission method and any time limit in the policy. Use the contact details and instructions issued for your policy rather than assuming that steps from another Bupa plan apply.
What evidence is available about service and value?
No plan-specific claims acceptance, customer satisfaction or value statistic, or exact quotation from a policy document or named speaker, is established here for International Plus.
