What you can buy: seat-only or bassinet-and-seat
Bugaboo sells the Dragonfly in a seat-only configuration and as a 2-in-1 package with a bassinet and seat. Choose the package around how you plan to use the stroller from birth: the bassinet is included in the 2-in-1 bundle, while the seat-only listing does not include it. Check the current product listing for exactly what is in the box, since packages and availability can change.

The US 2-in-1 product listing describes use from birth to approximately four years and a maximum child weight of 50 lb in the seat. Those are US listing claims, not universal age or weight limits. An EMEA/Israel warning booklet gives different limits: 9 kg or six months for the bassinet, and 15 kg for the seat when parent-facing. Fold and dimensions: compact, with configuration-specific measurements
Bugaboo describes a one-hand, self-standing fold that works with the seat or bassinet attached. The US 2-in-1 listing gives these one-piece folded dimensions: 14.2 × 20.5 × 35.4 in with the seat and 12.6 × 20.5 × 35.4 in with the bassinet. The same listing gives unfolded dimensions of 42 × 20.5 × 41 in. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent measurements; confirm dimensions on the current listing for the exact configuration you intend to buy.

The fold’s practical appeal is that Bugaboo says you need not remove the seat or bassinet first. Whether the folded package fits your hallway, car trunk, or storage space still depends on those measurements and your available clearance.
Weight and storage capacity
Bugaboo lists the US stroller at 21.8 lb with the seat and 23.1 lb with the bassinet. The weight difference matters if you regularly lift the stroller into a vehicle or carry it up stairs. The listing also states a 50 lb seat capacity and 20 lb bassinet capacity, plus a 22 lb under-seat basket capacity and 5.5 lb rear-pocket capacity.

Using the stroller from birth
The 2-in-1 package supplies both bassinet and seat. The seat-only US page describes a reversible, fully reclinable seat, but recline alone should not be treated as approval for newborn use. Follow the local manual’s permitted setup and age and weight limits rather than transferring a claim from another region or configuration.

Infant car-seat compatibility
Bugaboo says car-seat adapters are required and shows a Turtle Air by Nuna pairing on its product page. That example does not establish a complete or current compatibility list. Before buying, verify the exact infant seat, adapter, Dragonfly version, and market with Bugaboo’s current compatibility information. Do not assume that an adapter or car seat sold in one country fits a different regional model.
Canopy, suspension, and fabric care
Bugaboo lists a UPF 50+ canopy, full suspension, and an under-seat basket. These are manufacturer-described features, not independent measurements of sun protection or ride comfort. The listing describes the fabrics as machine washable at 86°F and the 2-in-1 package as including an integrated carry strap; check the current model’s care label and package contents before relying on either detail. Who should consider the Dragonfly?
- Consider it if a one-hand fold with the seat or bassinet attached is useful and the listed folded dimensions suit your storage space.
- Compare your setup carefully if you expect to lift it often: Bugaboo lists 21.8 lb with the seat and 23.1 lb with the bassinet.
- Check the newborn configuration first if you need a bassinet or plan to use an infant car seat; local limits and exact adapter compatibility matter.
