Neither Browse AI nor Zyte is the universal winner for large-scale web scraping. Browse AI is built around recording no-code robots that extract data and automate recurring tasks; Zyte is an API-centered service that charges according to the target site and features used, including browser rendering. The right choice depends on how your team builds workflows, what the target sites require, and the full cost of running and recovering your collection—not just a headline plan price.
Compare them with the same sites, URLs, fields, run frequency, and delivery requirements. Vendor documentation describes capabilities and pricing, but does not establish independent comparative accuracy, reliability, or success rates.

How Browse AI and Zyte work differently
Browse AI: configure a robot, then run or monitor it
Browse AI’s core model is to configure or record a robot that extracts website data and automates tasks. That can suit teams that want to define a task through a visual, no-code workflow rather than build their own request pipeline. Its product descriptions also cover scheduled page checks, alerts when changes are detected, historical changes, and export or integration options.
The trade-off is that “no-code” does not make a collection maintenance-free. Page redesigns, changed labels, login flows, pagination, and inconsistent site behavior can all affect whether a robot continues to return the fields you expect. Test the robot against representative pages and decide who will inspect failed or changed runs.
#1 Best Overall
Zyte: send requests through an API and select features
Zyte’s API is organized around requests. Its documented options include browser rendering and browser actions such as clicks, form fills, and navigation. That model can fit teams that already operate code-based data pipelines or need to control request handling within an application.
It also places more responsibility on the consumer to design the collection workflow: scheduling, storing results, detecting changes, validating schemas, and surfacing failures may need to be handled in the surrounding system. Do not assume that selecting an API feature alone supplies a complete monitoring or data-quality process.
Compare total cost, not just the meter
Browse AI credits and plan limits
Browse AI’s public pricing page, accessed October 3, 2026, showed a free tier, Personal and Professional plans, and a Premium offering starting at $500 per month when billed annually. The page also described website limits and credit allowances; Premium terms are custom, and monthly and annual billing can be presented differently. Confirm the plan, billing cadence, website allowance, and included credits applicable to your account before estimating cost.
Browse AI Help Center guidance dated March 13, 2026 says that on standard sites, one credit covers up to ten rows or one screenshot, with a one-credit minimum for a task. For premium sites, the stated minimum and comparable row or screenshot costs range from two to ten credits. This is the vendor’s usage description, not a guarantee that every extraction will fit that unit or return complete data.
Rank #3
Zyte request pricing and feature costs
Zyte’s public pricing page, accessed October 3, 2026, lists prices per 1,000 requests that vary by target-site tier and whether the response uses browser rendering. Higher monthly commitments reduce the listed rates, and some advanced features can add usage charges. Zyte’s API documentation says it charges only for successful responses and lists plan and rate-limit details. These are vendor terms; verify the live schedule and the applicable definition of a successful response before budgeting.
A fair estimate uses the same representative workload for both vendors: target domains, pages per run, fields, frequency, dynamic-page needs, expected retries, and delivery format. For Browse AI, include credits and website limits. For Zyte, include site tier, rendering, selected advanced features, request volume, and any commitment needed to reach a listed rate. Add the engineering or operator time needed to validate data and handle failures.
A practical cost-estimation worksheet
- Choose representative pages. Include ordinary pages and the difficult cases: pagination, dynamic content, authentication, or pages that change frequently.
- Define the output. Specify fields, expected row counts, data types, and how missing or changed fields should be handled.
- Set the cadence. State runs per day or week and how quickly a change must be detected.
- Run a comparable pilot. Count actual work, successful records, incomplete results, retries, and hands-on intervention for each tool.
- Project recurring operations. Include vendor charges, recovery work, validation, storage or integrations, and the cost of missed or delayed data.
- Recheck before committing. Pricing, plan limits, site tiers, and feature charges can change; use the vendor’s current terms for your expected workload.
Which one fits your team?
Choose Browse AI when the visual robot workflow is the deciding factor
- Your team prefers configuring extraction tasks through a no-code robot interface.
- You want scheduled checks and change alerts described as part of the product workflow.
- The sites and page interactions you need pass a pilot with acceptable data quality and maintenance effort.
Choose Zyte when an API-based request workflow fits your pipeline
- Your developers want to integrate scraping requests into an existing application or data pipeline.
- You need to evaluate browser rendering or documented interactions such as clicks, form fills, and navigation.
- You can implement or already have the scheduling, monitoring, schema validation, and recovery processes around the API.
Do not choose from a feature list alone
Both vendors describe ways to handle dynamic sites and anti-bot friction. That does not mean either can access every site, return complete data, or make a particular collection permissible. Run a site-specific pilot, verify the resulting data, and review the target site’s rules and the obligations that apply to your use.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsHow to run a meaningful pilot
- Use identical inputs. Give both services the same target URLs, run window, required fields, and definition of a successful record.
- Include normal and difficult pages. Test more than a clean landing page; include the interactions and page variations that matter in production.
- Compare output against a trusted reference. Check field accuracy, missing records, duplicates, formatting, and whether the output schema remains stable.
- Record operational behavior. Track latency, failed runs, recovery steps, retries, and minutes of human intervention. Do not infer service-wide reliability from a small pilot.
- Calculate cost from observed work. Apply the current credit or request rules to the real workload, and include the recurring schedule and feature choices.
- Set acceptance criteria before scaling. Decide the minimum completeness and accuracy, maximum recovery effort, and acceptable total cost. Expand only if the pilot meets them.
ScreenshotNeo is an alternative for screenshot-only jobs
If the requirement is to capture clean page images or PDFs rather than extract structured records at scale, try ScreenshotNeo first. It is a website screenshot API and MCP server, not a substitute for Browse AI or Zyte’s structured scraping workflows. One GET request returns a PNG, JPEG, WebP, or PDF; its cleanup options accept consent banners and remove more than 60 known consent platforms, newsletter popups, and chat widgets before capture, and those steps can be turned off. Bot checks or CAPTCHAs, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits are not billed, with response headers identifying the page verdict and billing status. Its MCP server provides tools for AI agents, and all listed features are available on every plan.
For example, this cURL request saves a WebP screenshot of Stripe; replace the target URL as needed. See the ScreenshotNeo API documentation for request options.
