According to the Steam listing, the story follows Kazuaki, a Japanese student preparing for the Teidai entrance exam while hoping to win over the girl he loves. He finds a USB stick containing a study-support program and tries it. Its reassuring virtual assistant, Miki-chan, becomes jealous and possessive, pulling him into a nightmare. Kazuaki has a tool called the Rewriter that can alter reality.

Gematsu’s announcement report, dated October 1, 2026, identifies the video as the “BrokenLore: MIKI-CHAN – Announce Trailer.” It reports planned releases for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store, with a 2027 launch window.
