What the Bosch PXE651FC1E offers
Bosch’s UK/Ireland specification describes four cooking positions: two on the left that can work together as a 40 cm-long FlexInduction zone, plus a 145 mm rear-right zone and a 210 mm front-right zone. The flexible area is intended to accommodate cookware of different shapes and sizes. As with any induction hob, pans must be induction-compatible; consult the manual for the model variant’s cookware and operating guidance.

- DirectSelect: a touch bar for selecting power and additional functions.
- Power and timing: Bosch’s UK/Ireland sheet lists 17 power settings per zone, a timer with automatic switch-off and a separate alarm timer.
- QuickStart and ReStart: QuickStart selects the zone where cookware is detected at start-up. ReStart can restore previous settings if the hob is switched back on within four seconds of an unintended switch-off.
- Frying assistance: the UK/Ireland sheet lists a fryingSensor with four temperature settings. Bosch’s Australian sheet also describes nine automatic frying programs; that is a regional-document detail, not a feature claim to assume for every variant.
- Cleaning and safety: Bosch lists a two-stage residual-heat indicator, control-panel lock, a 30-second lock for wiping, main on/off switch and safety cut-out. The UK/Ireland sheet also lists an energy-consumption display for the last cooking process.
These are features Bosch documents, not proof of cooking speed, temperature accuracy or ease of use in independent testing.

Bosch’s UK/Ireland sheet says PowerBoost provides “50% more energy than at the highest standard level.” Its Australian page instead describes heating up to 35% faster than the highest power level. These are differently worded regional claims, not a single independently measured speed figure.

Dimensions, cutout and electrical fit
Bosch’s regional product page gives overall dimensions of 51 × 592 × 522 mm. The UK/Ireland specification lists a required niche of 51 × 560 × 490–500 mm. Check the exact appliance variant and your cabinetry before purchasing: overall hob size and countertop cutout are different measurements, and site conditions can affect installation.
The same UK/Ireland sheet specifies a 7.4 kW connected load, a 1.1 m included cable and power-management options for 16 A, 13 A or 10 A connections. That does not establish a universal circuit requirement or mean every installation can use those settings. Have a qualified installer verify the exact variant, local electrical rules, supply and available power-management configuration.
