Bootstrap Sidebar V08 is a free Colorlib navigation-sidebar template with a minimal design and a dropdown. You can preview or download it from Colorlib’s V08 page. Before integrating it, check the downloaded files for their dependencies and behavior: the publisher’s broader compatibility claims do not establish that this particular package has been tested with every Bootstrap version.
What is Bootstrap Sidebar V08?
V08 is a downloadable design starting point for a website’s sidebar navigation. Colorlib describes it as minimal and featuring a dropdown. Its template page provides Preview and Download options, so you can inspect the presentation before deciding whether it suits your site.

The page names Colorlib as the template author and Aigars Silkalns as the page author. Its date metadata is inconsistent: it displays November 25, 2020, and also has a separate “Released: 2025” field. Those fields do not establish a single definitive release year.
How to evaluate and integrate the template
- Preview the sidebar. Use the Preview option on the V08 page to see whether the minimal layout and dropdown fit your navigation.
- Inspect the download. Check the included files and instructions to identify dependencies, markup, and any license terms supplied with the package.
- Test it in your project. Confirm that the sidebar and dropdown work with your site’s Bootstrap version and existing scripts. Colorlib’s current collection discusses Bootstrap 4, 5, and 6 use and vanilla JavaScript across the collection, but that collection-wide description is not proof of compatibility for this exact download.
- Check the interaction details. Decide whether the sidebar should overlay or push page content, and test its behavior on phone-sized screens. For icon-only navigation, provide accessible labels; also check whether keyboard users can close an open panel with Escape and return focus appropriately, and whether a collapsed state should persist after a selection.
What the license and credit statement mean
The V08 template page lists CC BY 3.0. In its September 2026 sidebar collection, Colorlib says its templates may be used personally or commercially when the credit link is retained. Treat this as the publisher’s statement, not a legal review: read the license and terms included with the download and preserve the required credit if you use the template.

What has not been established about V08
The available pages do not report independent accessibility or performance testing of the exact V08 download. They also do not establish that every implementation detail described for Colorlib’s sidebar collection applies to this package.
