Starter: a smaller site where chat support is enough
Starter is the least expensive displayed option, with 10 websites, 10 GB of storage, and weekly backups. It may suit a modest blog or basic business site if those limits fit your needs and you are comfortable without phone support. The “ideal for 40K visits/mo” figure is Bluehost’s profile, not a traffic guarantee.

Business: more listed capacity and phone support
Business increases the listed limits to 50 websites and 50 GB of storage, and includes phone support alongside chat. Consider it if you expect to use the extra site capacity or want phone access; do not treat the provider’s “ideal for 200K visits/mo” description as independently validated capacity.
eCommerce Essentials: store-oriented tools
This tier lists 100 websites, 100 GB of storage, and commerce features such as WooCommerce auto-install, subscriptions, memberships, and paid courses. It is the relevant listed tier if you need those tools, but compare the feature set and renewal cost against your actual store requirements rather than choosing on the traffic profile alone.
What is included beyond the plan table?
Bluehost’s WordPress hosting page lists SSL, a CDN, managed WordPress updates, a site migration tool, global data centers, caching, and staging. It also advertises a 30-day money-back guarantee and a 99.99% uptime SLA. The SLA is based on server and Apache performance. Bluehost says that if uptime falls below 99.99%, a customer may claim a one-time credit equal to 5% of one month’s hosting charge, within 30 days. That remedy is a stated service term, not a finding about observed uptime; check the current terms for eligibility and claim requirements.

The prices above show the provider’s displayed monthly rates, but a 36-month purchase means the actual initial bill is based on the full term, not a single month. Add the applicable taxes and any selected extras when comparing the amount due today with future renewal charges.
