To use it, start in Bluehost AI Website Builder, choose the option to sell products online, describe your business, and follow the prompts for products, payments, and shipping. Bluehost says an existing Bluehost site cannot currently be converted directly to AI Store, so check eligibility before you begin.
What Bluehost AI Store does
Bluehost describes AI Store as more than a page generator: it is a hosted ecommerce service built on WordPress and WooCommerce, with chat-based setup and store-management features. Bluehost says activity can be synchronized between its portal and WooCommerce. These capabilities are vendor descriptions, not independently verified performance results. Bluehost’s AI Store page outlines its offer.

Bluehost describes several AI agents for store operations:
Recommended Free Tools
- Catalog Agent: product details, descriptions, and inventory.
- Order Agent: order and fulfillment activity.
- Inventory Agent: stock monitoring and restocking recommendations.
- Customer Agent: customer insights and purchase history.
- Coordinator Agent: prioritizing actions across the store.
Bluehost also estimates that website generation takes 5 to 10 minutes and setup of a functional store takes 20 to 30 minutes. Those are Bluehost’s estimates, not independently measured timings; the actual work can vary with your catalog and configuration. See Bluehost’s product details.

How to start an AI Store
- Open Bluehost AI Website Builder. Begin a new site and provide the requested business details and a description of what you want to sell. Bluehost says the builder uses this information to create a starter site. See its AI Website Builder onboarding guidance.
- Choose online selling. Select the option to sell products online when prompted. This enters the AI Store setup flow; Bluehost documents this as the route into the service.
- Complete the conversational setup. Follow the prompts to add or describe products and configure payments and shipping. Bluehost names Stripe Connect in its payment setup description, but the exact requirements and available configuration can depend on your business and location. Do not assume onboarding covers every tax, shipping, or payment need.
- Review the generated storefront. Check product names, descriptions, prices, images, and the customer journey before publishing. Treat generated content as a draft that needs your review.
- Confirm launch requirements. Before publishing, check the current plan and domain terms, payment gateway setup, shipping rules, tax obligations, and any extensions your store requires.
Bluehost’s materials describe AI Store as an ecommerce upgrade available through AI Website Builder, rather than an option that can simply be added to an existing Bluehost site. Availability can change, so verify the current onboarding options if you do not see the online-selling choice. Bluehost’s AI Store page describes the current product route.
How to manage the store after setup
Use the AI Store dashboard or chat for the conversational workflows Bluehost provides, such as catalog and order tasks. For direct platform access, Bluehost documents this route:
- Sign in to the Bluehost Portal.
- Open Websites and select Edit Site for the AI Store website.
- Select the WordPress icon to open the WordPress administration area.
- Open WooCommerce to manage supported commerce settings directly.
Bluehost says WooCommerce is installed and activated when the AI Store site is generated. Its help articles explain how to access WooCommerce and AI Store administration and controls.

Customization and platform access
The store is based on WordPress and WooCommerce, but that does not mean every WordPress control is available. Bluehost says some controls on AI-generated sites are restricted, including installing or switching themes and installing, deactivating, or deleting plugins. If a particular extension or design change is essential, confirm that it is permitted for your AI Store setup before building around it. Bluehost’s AI Store support article describes these restrictions.

Trial and plan terms
Bluehost describes a 14-day trial that starts at signup and runs consecutively; its plan FAQ says the trial uses a temporary domain. Trial conditions, paid-plan requirements, and prices can change, so check the current terms before entering payment details or planning a launch date. Bluehost says an upgrade is needed to publish or unlock ecommerce capabilities. See its AI Store page and plan information.
Whether chat-led management suits your store
AI Store’s appeal is conversational convenience for setup and recurring catalog or order tasks. The trade-off is that a managed workflow may not provide the control you expect from an unrestricted WordPress installation. When comparing services, check whether they manage orders as well as create pages, what access they provide to the underlying commerce platform and extensions, how payments and shipping are configured, whether you can use the service with an existing site, and what hosting, domain, restriction, and ongoing plan terms apply. Bluehost’s own feature comparisons are vendor claims, not independent head-to-head tests.
