Bloomingdale’s standard terms describe a 20% discount, and the purchase APR is 32.99% variable according to a disclosure dated November 4, 2025. Treat the discount as a short-term promotion—not a reason to carry a high-interest balance.
What offer does the Bloomingdale’s card currently advertise?
Bloomingdale’s card gateway advertises 25% off today and tomorrow, up to $250 in savings, subject to credit approval. That is the live offer observed on the official page, not a guaranteed permanent card benefit. Bloomingdale’s customer-service terms describe a standard offer of 20% off eligible merchandise on the approval day and the following day, also capped at $250, and say promotional offers can vary in percentage, cap, and duration.

How the new-account discount works
- The standard discount is for new accounts and requires immediate approval. Bloomingdale’s states: “Applicants must qualify for immediate approval to receive the New Account Discount.”
- Applications that need further processing do not qualify for the standard discount.
- The offer applies to eligible merchandise on the approval day and the next day; it does not apply to previous purchases, gift cards, services, and certain designers, brands, and leased departments.
- It generally cannot be combined with other discounts unless the offer terms say otherwise.
- The discount appears as a separate line on the billing statement rather than reducing the price at checkout.
Because exclusions and promotional terms may differ, rely on the offer displayed for your application rather than assuming every purchase qualifies.

What does the card cost, and what is its APR?
The Bloomingdale’s store-card disclosure lists a 32.99% variable purchase APR as of November 4, 2025, based on a 7.00% U.S. Prime Rate plus a 25.99% margin. The rate varies with the market, so check the current disclosure before applying. The card has no annual fee; the disclosure lists late-payment and returned-payment fees of up to $41 each. The same disclosure says the payment due date is at least 25 days after the close of each billing cycle. It states that purchase interest is not charged when the entire relevant balance is paid by the due date, subject to agreement details about excluded balances. Do not treat that as a blanket guarantee that interest never applies. A balance left unpaid can quickly outweigh a one-time discount at this APR.

Is the signup discount worth it for your purchase?
The offer is most useful when you already plan to buy eligible merchandise during the short discount window and can pay the resulting balance in full by the due date. The $250 cap limits the benefit, and exclusions may remove items from the calculation. Before applying, compare the terms on the offer page with your intended purchases and consider whether the card’s high variable APR creates a risk of paying more in interest than you save.

If you shop at Bloomingdale’s regularly and pay in full, ongoing rewards may add value, but they are restricted store rewards rather than cash.

How does the Bloomingdale’s card earn rewards?
Eligible Bloomingdale’s store-card purchases earn Loyallist points. The base tier earns 3 points per dollar; higher tiers earn 4 or 10 points per dollar. Bloomingdale’s says 5,000 points convert to a $25 reward. Rewards expire 180 days after issuance and are subject to the program’s redemption terms, so they are not equivalent to cash back or a statement credit. See the Loyallist program terms for details.

Bloomingdale’s says online decisions are usually immediate, although processing may take 7–10 business days. If approved, applicants can start shopping and use the new-account discount; the physical card should arrive within 7–10 business days. Immediate approval is required for the standard discount.
