What the BIWIN CL100 is—and what it is not
The CL100 measures 15.0 × 17.0 × 1.4 mm and uses the Mini SSD form factor. BIWIN specifies a PCIe 4.0 x2 interface and NVMe 1.4 protocol, with capacities of 512 GB, 1 TB, and 2 TB. Those dimensions make it much smaller than a conventional M.2 drive, but the CL100 is not a universal memory card: internal use requires a device built with a compatible Mini SSD slot.

BIWIN’s specification sheet labels the sequential figures as maximums and says, “Tested by BIWIN labs. Actual performance may vary due to systems, devices, or environment.” Treat them as vendor specifications rather than a promise of the speed you will see in a particular handheld, computer, or workload. The capacity-specific write figures matter when comparing models: the 512 GB entry is listed at up to 2,400 MB/s, while the 1 TB and 2 TB entries are listed at up to 3,400 MB/s. The ThinkComputers page provides a specification table and reports that BIWIN supplied the product, but its accessible text does not show measured benchmark results. Compatibility should come before speed
Before choosing a capacity or comparing throughput, confirm that your exact device model has a Mini SSD slot. Tom’s Hardware reported support in the GPD Win 5 and several OneXPlayer models. It also contrasted the Mini SSD format with the M.2 2230 drive used by Steam Deck devices: the formats are not interchangeable. BIWIN’s RD510 Mini SSD Reader connects the CL100 externally over USB4. BIWIN rates the reader for up to 3,300 MB/s read and 3,000 MB/s write. These are reader specifications, not guaranteed transfer rates: the host, cable, workload, and reader can all limit actual performance. The reader’s stated peak figures are also lower than the CL100’s maximum sequential figures, so an external setup should not be expected to deliver the SSD’s full headline maximum.

What the available review evidence can—and cannot—tell you
ThinkComputers published a CL100 review on September 29, 2026, and its accessible page includes specifications and warranty information. The accessible text does not provide benchmark measurements. On that evidence, there is no basis to describe the CL100 as having achieved a particular real-world speed or to make a tested comparison with microSD cards or other SSDs.
BIWIN’s IP68 and up-to-3-meter drop-resistance statements are also vendor claims. They may be relevant if storage is exposed to dust, water, or impacts, but they are not independent validation of how the drive performs after a specific incident or in a particular device. The cited material likewise does not establish sustained-load behavior, temperatures in a named handheld, or comparative value against current drives.

A Tom’s Hardware report dated October 2, 2026, listed Amazon UK offers for the 512 GB and 1 TB versions, plus a third-party 2 TB offer. That is a dated UK marketplace snapshot—not confirmation of current price, stock, seller, warranty terms, or availability in other regions. Check the listing and its seller directly before buying. Once compatibility is confirmed, compare the available capacities by price per usable terabyte, and decide whether internal swap-in access or the extra cost and convenience of an external RD510 setup fits your use. For workloads involving long transfers, seek device-specific sustained-performance results rather than relying on peak sequential ratings alone.

Verdict: an intriguing niche SSD, not a drop-in upgrade
The CL100’s specifications make it interesting for devices designed around Mini SSD: it combines a very small removable drive with high manufacturer-rated sequential speeds and capacities up to 2 TB. Its main constraint is ecosystem support. If your exact device lacks a Mini SSD slot, internal installation is not an option; the RD510 can provide an external USB4 path, but adds hardware and has its own performance ceiling. With no measured benchmark data in the accessible review text, the most defensible judgment is that the CL100 looks promising on paper for compatible devices, while its real-world speed and value remain device- and price-dependent.
