Bitdeer plans to add approximately 7 MW of Bitcoin mining equipment at Soluna’s Project Kati 1 in South Texas, bringing its announced deployment there to approximately 35 MW and an estimated 2.42 EH/s of hash rate. Soluna’s September 24, 2026 announcement said the added deployment was expected to be complete in November 2026; that date is a forecast, not confirmation that the equipment is operating.
What changed in the Bitdeer–Soluna agreement?
Soluna Holdings amended its agreement with Dory Creek, LLC, a wholly owned Bitdeer subsidiary. The amendment adds approximately 7 MW of mining equipment to Bitdeer’s planned deployment at Project Kati 1. Soluna described it as the first expansion of the partnership. Soluna’s September 24, 2026 announcement puts the resulting total at approximately 35 MW and the associated hash rate at approximately 2.42 EH/s.

The amendment builds on an August 25, 2026 agreement for approximately 28 MW and approximately 1.93 EH/s. That initial deployment was scheduled to begin in batches in September 2026. The later announcement says the partnership expanded before the initial deployment was finished, so the 28 MW should be read as the original planned capacity, not as a completed operating total. Soluna’s August 25 announcement provides the original figures and rollout plan.

Where is Project Kati 1?
Project Kati 1 is in Willacy County, Texas. Soluna describes it as an 83 MW wind-powered data center. The Bitdeer deployment is in the site’s K1BC phase, which Soluna said was fully subscribed in its September 24 announcement. Those site and subscription details are company-reported.
How does the co-mining arrangement work?
Soluna says it provides the site, power, and turnkey operations, while Bitdeer supplies and owns the mining equipment. The specified equipment is Bitdeer’s Sealminer A2 Pro Air Bitcoin miner. The companies share proceeds generated by mining, and the amendment retains that arrangement.

The announcements do not state how proceeds are divided, what Bitdeer pays for power, or how long the contract runs. They also provide no realized revenue or mining output figures, so the announced hash rate should not be treated as evidence of actual production.

The amendment increases Bitdeer’s announced capacity at Kati 1 by roughly one quarter compared with the original 28 MW plan. It also raises the company-reported hash-rate estimate from approximately 1.93 EH/s to approximately 2.42 EH/s. The main practical implication is that the companies intend to place more Bitdeer-owned mining equipment at the same site under their existing shared-proceeds structure; the announcement alone does not establish the project’s eventual operating performance or financial returns.

Soluna CEO John Belizaire characterized the expansion as an endorsement of the arrangement, saying, “We entered our first co-mining agreement with Bitdeer in August, and we are expanding it before that deployment is even finished.” That is the executive’s interpretation of the deal, not independent confirmation of its economics or results.
