2. Gyre: another cloud-based category option
YouTube’s official encoder directory describes Gyre as a cloud-based tool for 24/7 live streaming of prerecorded videos on YouTube. That makes it relevant to this workflow, but the directory description alone does not establish current storage limits, playlist controls, recovery behavior, or plan terms. Check Gyre’s current provider information for those specifics.

3. Self-hosted streaming software and a VPS
If you want to manage the server yourself, SRS, Ant Media Server, and Nimble Streamer are server-oriented candidates named in a secondary alternatives comparison. The available descriptions do not establish that any of them provides a ready-made, unattended YouTube playlist workflow. Verify current documentation for deployment, playlist automation, output compatibility, and operational requirements before committing.
A VPS workflow can use server software or FFmpeg to loop a video or playlist and send the output to YouTube. A hosting provider describes this general approach, but that description is not an independent reliability test or an uptime guarantee. You take responsibility for deployment, storage, bandwidth, monitoring, restart behavior, and maintenance. The exact setup depends on the software and hosting environment; do not assume a particular SRS configuration or command without checking its current documentation.
4. The Shed: self-hosted studio with documented playlist features
The Shed project’s README documents scheduled video playback and a playlist loop mode for an always-on channel. It also documents RTMP, SRT, and WHIP ingest and distribution to YouTube and other endpoints. Treat these as project-documented capabilities, not independently verified reliability results. This option is better understood as a self-hosted multistream studio than as a hands-off managed cloud service.

Tools that solve adjacent problems
OBS for producing a live show
YouTube’s encoder directory lists OBS as “Open source software for video recording and live streaming at no charge.” OBS is a production application, not by that description alone a managed cloud playlist service: a local OBS setup depends on the computer and connection running the broadcast. YouTube’s listing does not establish unattended playlist scheduling or cloud recovery.
StreamYard for browser-based shows
StreamYard’s own comparison guide positions its browser studio for interviews, podcasts, and webinars, while describing OBS or Streamlabs as options for workflows that need deeper scene control. That directory wording may change, so confirm current destination limits with the provider if they matter.
