For a true, uninterrupted 24/7 YouTube channel built from uploaded videos and playlists, StreamNeo is the first service to consider: it loops your uploads from the cloud, supports playlists, and keeps running with your computer off. Restream is a better-documented option if scheduled playlist events with a short gap between them are acceptable. LiveGoLive advertises continuous looping, but its public site marks YouTube channel linking as beta and directs users to a waitlist, so verify availability before relying on it.
Which service fits your 24/7 YouTube channel?
| Option | What it does | Best fit | Important limitation |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1. StreamNeo | Runs uploaded videos or playlists as a looping YouTube stream from the cloud. | A channel that needs an always-on stream without leaving a computer or home connection running. | YouTube only; it plays uploaded videos and does not stream from a camera. |
| 2. Restream Upload & Stream | Lets you arrange uploaded videos into a playlist and schedule it as a prerecorded stream. | Scheduled playlist events where separate streams and a brief transition gap are acceptable. | Each playlist can be up to 24 hours and 40 videos; consecutive playlists are separate streams with a two-minute buffer. |
| 3. LiveGoLive | Its public site claims continuous video and audio playlist loops, auto-reconnect, and operation without a PC left on. | Creators willing to check whether the service is accepting users and confirm terms before choosing it. | YouTube integration is marked beta and the site asks visitors to join a waitlist; public availability, pricing, and reliability terms are not established. |
| 4. Build a DIY YouTube Live workflow | YouTube’s Live Streaming API provides event and stream resources that developers can manage. | Teams with the engineering capacity to build and operate playlist rotation, monitoring, and recovery. | The API is not a finished hosted playlist scheduler and does not by itself supervise media playback around the clock. |
These options do not all mean the same thing by “24/7.” A continuously looping stream is different from a sequence of scheduled events, even when those events cover most of the day. Choose based on whether you need one ongoing broadcast, whether short breaks are acceptable, and who will handle playback and recovery.

2. Restream: scheduled playlists, not one seamless continuous stream
Restream documents a workflow for choosing prerecorded videos, arranging them into a playlist, previewing it, and scheduling it to go live. Its playlist feature requires an Upload & Stream add-on tier. Do not confuse that requirement with Restream’s general event scheduler, which its help page says is available on its plans, including the free tier; the help page says free users have Restream branding on the event thumbnail.
Playlist limits and transitions
- A playlist can run for up to 24 hours and contain up to 40 videos.
- You can add, remove, or reorder videos only before the playlist goes live.
- You can schedule playlists back-to-back, but Restream delivers them as separate streams with a two-minute buffer between them. That is not a single seamless 24/7 broadcast.
- A playlist cannot currently mix live and prerecorded content.
- Restream says you can end a live playlist from the home screen, or reschedule or unschedule a scheduled playlist.
Published plan details
Restream’s playlist page lists the following add-on tiers and video-library allowances. These are vendor-listed details reported in 2026 and may change; check Restream’s current page before buying.

LiveGoLive’s public site claims that users can upload video and audio playlists, loop them continuously, and use automatic reconnect after network interruptions without keeping a PC running. It describes connecting a YouTube channel through a one-click integration marked beta or pasting a stream key. The same site directs visitors to join a waitlist.

4. DIY YouTube Live: flexible building blocks, more operations work
YouTube’s Live Streaming API distinguishes the viewer-facing liveBroadcast event from the liveStream resource that carries the video feed. The API supports creating and managing events, scheduling broadcasts, associating a stream, and moving a broadcast through its states. Google’s API guide also describes a 24/7 live feed with a second broadcast resource for an interview that forms part of that feed.

- Powerful Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 5600GT 3.6GHz (4.6GHz Turbo) 6-Core 12-Thread processor brings faster response time to easily handle multi-threaded tasks
- Motherboard Specification: MSI A520M-A PRO motherboard provides reliable performance and expandability for your computing needs
- Integrated Graphics: AMD Radeon Vega Graphics (CPU Integration) enables you to play 1080P mainstream games at quality frame rates
- Memory and Storage: 16GB DDR4 3200MHz RAM paired with 1TB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD for fast multitasking and quick data access
- Power Supply: 550W 80PLUS Bronze certified power supply ensures stable and energy-efficient operation
That model can represent a continuous feed, but the API is not a ready-made playlist player. A DIY system still needs to fetch and rotate media, keep the encoder or playback process alive, monitor stream health, respond to failures, and manage broadcast states. YouTube recommends monitoring stream quality and checking failover behavior; a professional hardware encoder is an optional production component, not a substitute for playlist management or cloud supervision.

When DIY makes sense
- You have someone who can build and maintain the playback and control software.
- You need custom logic, integrations, or production controls that a hosted playlist service does not provide.
- You can monitor the feed and respond when encoding, connectivity, or YouTube ingest fails.
Check YouTube readiness before scheduling anything
Enable live streaming and authorize the right channel
Restream’s YouTube setup guide says live streaming must be enabled and that first-time streamers must wait 24 hours after enabling it. Confirm that the Google account you authorize is the account for the channel you intend to broadcast on. Do not leave the first live setup until just before a scheduled launch.

Plan for archives and DVR on long broadcasts
YouTube says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived, but streams exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all. DVR rewind may also be limited or unavailable on streams longer than 12 hours. If viewers need a replay or rewind, keep a separate recording rather than assuming a continuous stream will produce a complete archive.
Confirm that you have rights to every item in the playlist
YouTube’s livestream terms require creators to have the necessary rights to exploit live content on Google services worldwide, including music licensing rights, and require live content to comply with Community Guidelines. Buying a streaming service does not give you permission to use songs, recordings, or video footage. For music channels, check rights for the specific recordings and uses in each upload before putting them into an always-on playlist.
How to choose for your channel
- You need a cloud-run, continuous loop: start with StreamNeo. It is designed to keep uploaded videos looping on YouTube without a local computer staying on.
- You want scheduled prerecorded events: consider Restream if its add-on requirement and playlist limits work for your schedule, and you can accept distinct events separated by a two-minute buffer.
- You are considering LiveGoLive: first confirm that signup is open, what it costs, and what recovery or reliability commitments apply. Its beta label and waitlist make those questions material.
- You need custom automation: the YouTube API can provide event and stream controls, but plan for engineering, media rotation, process supervision, and failure handling yourself.
