The available specifications support two useful examples, but not a definitive “best” projector. XGIMI publishes a fuller set of relevant specifications for the MoGo 3 Pro, while Anker documents an iPhone mirroring procedure for the Capsule 3 Laser. Compare each model’s features against your own connection needs rather than treating either as a universal winner.

What should you check before choosing?
Match the projector to your iPhone’s connection
First check whether your iPhone has a Lightning or USB-C connector, then check the projector for a compatible video input and the cables or adapters needed to join them. Apple documents wired connections to projectors using an appropriate adapter and HDMI or VGA cable. It also notes that USB-C external-display support varies by iPhone model, so a USB-C port alone does not guarantee that wired video output will work on every iPhone. Consider resolution and brightness together
Resolution describes the number of pixels in the image; brightness affects how visible that image is in the room. A projector’s advertised resolution or brightness does not, by itself, guarantee a sharp, bright result in every setup. Room lighting and the projected image size affect the viewing experience, and the cited product information does not provide a controlled comparison between these models.
Check built-in apps and mirroring separately
A projector’s streaming platform and its ability to mirror an iPhone are different features. The MoGo 3 Pro’s product page lists Google TV; Anker’s instructions for the Capsule 3 Laser describe installing AirScreen to mirror an iPhone. Neither fact establishes that every iPhone app or protected video will play through screen mirroring. Check the behavior of the specific service and model you intend to use.

How to connect an iPhone to a projector with a cable
- Check the ports. Identify your iPhone connector and confirm the projector has an HDMI or VGA input that you can use.
- Choose the matching adapter. Use an adapter appropriate to the iPhone model, such as a Lightning Digital AV Adapter for a compatible Lightning iPhone or a USB-C-to-HDMI adapter or cable for a supported USB-C model.
- Connect the video cable. Connect an HDMI or VGA cable to the adapter and projector. Apple notes that VGA does not carry audio, so plan a separate audio connection if needed.
- Select the projector input. Switch the projector to the HDMI or VGA input you connected if the picture does not appear automatically.
Apple’s adapter guidance covers connecting an iPhone to a display with an adapter. Check the exact iPhone and projector documentation before buying an adapter or cable, particularly for USB-C video output.
How to mirror an iPhone wirelessly
Apple identifies AirPlay as a wireless option, but the setup depends on the projector. For the Capsule 3 Laser, Anker’s instructions specify installing AirScreen from the projector’s Google Play Store, connecting the projector and iPhone to the same Wi-Fi network—or using the iPhone’s hotspot—and then starting screen mirroring from the iPhone and selecting the projector. Which connection should you use?
- Choose a cable when you want a direct connection and have a compatible iPhone adapter and projector input. It avoids relying on a shared Wi-Fi network for mirroring.
- Choose wireless mirroring when the projector supports a documented iPhone setup and you want to avoid a cable. Follow the model-specific instructions and verify any app restrictions that matter to you.
For either method, confirm the exact iPhone model, projector input or mirroring support, and the content you plan to display. A large projected image alone does not establish image quality or compatibility.
