What’s actually slowing this PC down?

Short answer: YouTube playlists are enough to arrange videos in order, but they do not by themselves broadcast those videos as a continuous 24/7 live stream. For an always-on education channel, use a hosted playout service; StreamNeo is the first option to consider for an uploaded-video YouTube loop, while OneStream Live and Looping Stream are alternatives with different documented requirements. If you only need an organized library rather than a live broadcast, start with YouTube Studio.
What a playlist manager can—and cannot—do
A YouTube playlist groups videos, lets you set visibility, and supports reordering in YouTube Studio. That is library organization, not an always-on live broadcast. To make a continuous live channel, you need a method that sends video to YouTube Live, such as a hosted cloud playout service or a locally run encoder.

The distinction matters for education: a playlist is useful for students who choose what to watch, while a 24/7 stream presents a continuous sequence that viewers can join at any time. A hosted playout service may also provide controls for ordering and replacing the media that feeds that stream; confirm the current editing workflow before choosing a provider.

| Option | Continuous broadcast and playlist workflow | Destination and computer requirement | Plan or duration notes | Best fit |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1. StreamNeo | Cloud service for looping uploaded videos or playlists continuously; add a YouTube stream key once and manage the stream from the cloud. | YouTube only; your computer does not need to stay on. | One flat price per slot for any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps, with no re-encode or quality tiers. First day free, no card required. | Educators who want an uploaded-video loop to remain live without maintaining a local computer. |
| 2. OneStream Live | Its help page describes a 24/7 stream assembled from selected video files. | The feature is documented as YouTube-only. Media can come from a device or cloud storage; the service handles the broadcast. | OneStream Live says 24/7 streaming requires Enterprise and allows a maximum duration of 30 days. Verify current terms with the provider. | Teams already evaluating OneStream Live that can meet its documented plan and duration conditions. |
| 3. Looping Stream | The vendor describes arranging one or more files into a playlist and streaming them continuously from cloud workers. | Vendor says it supports YouTube or another RTMP destination and does not require a personal computer to remain online. | Specific maximum duration and plan gate: not stated on the cited landing page. | Creators looking for cloud looping with RTMP destination choice. |
| 4. Playout.video | The vendor advertises always-on streaming alongside browser-based live production. | The cited page advertises multistreaming, but does not establish this education workflow’s exact destination or computer requirements. | Specific maximum duration and plan gate: not stated on the cited page. | Teams that want to combine continuous playout with browser-based live production; verify current workflow and destination support. |
| YouTube Studio playlists | Organizes, sets visibility for, and reorders YouTube videos; not documented as an always-on broadcast service. | YouTube library management; no stream is created by playlist controls alone. | No additional streaming plan or duration is established by the playlist help page. | Channels that need an orderly on-demand library, not continuous live output. |
| OBS Studio | Local software route for producing a YouTube broadcast; the cited guide describes account linking and starting broadcasts through OBS integration. | Broadcasting runs through the local production setup, so it is not the same as hosted cloud playout. | The cited OBS forum guide dates to 2015; check current OBS documentation for interface details before relying on its steps. | Teams that want local control or live production and can operate and monitor their own setup. |

How to choose for an education channel
Choose YouTube Studio when the goal is an on-demand course library
If learners should select a lesson or revisit a topic at their own pace, a regular playlist may be all you need. Create or manage it in YouTube Studio, choose its visibility, and reorder the videos to reflect the course sequence. YouTube documents that a made-for-kids video cannot be added to a playlist from the homepage; adding it from search results remains possible.
Choose hosted playout for continuous delivery
If the channel must remain live while you are away, compare hosted services on the points that affect your daily work: how you add and remove media, whether you can see what is currently playing, destinations, storage inputs, stream-duration limits, plan gates, and recovery behavior. These are practical checks, not features guaranteed across all providers.

For StreamNeo, upload a recording or prepare a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and start the stream. It loops the uploaded content from the cloud. Every slot includes one always-on stream, 10 GB of storage per slot pooled across active slots, 24/7 looping and playlists, automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream, and support from the StreamNeo team. The same product is included on every plan; only the billing length changes.
Choose local production when you need hands-on control
OBS or another local production setup can suit a team that wants to manage a live program itself. That route makes the computer, encoder configuration, network, and monitoring part of the operation. The 2015 OBS forum guide is not a reliable source for today’s exact interface, so use current OBS and YouTube instructions when configuring a broadcast.

Check YouTube eligibility and content rights before launch
- Enable live streaming: YouTube says a channel must be verified and must not have had a live-streaming restriction in the preceding 90 days. Confirm the channel’s current access in YouTube Studio.
- Choose a supported method: YouTube lists mobile, webcam, encoder, and console methods. A hosted service uses an encoder-style connection to YouTube, rather than turning a normal playlist into a live stream.
- Follow platform rules: Live content must comply with YouTube’s Community Guidelines and Terms of Service.
- Confirm rights for every item: Being able to add a video to a playlist does not establish permission to rebroadcast it. Check ownership, licenses, and any applicable permissions for each lesson, reading, music track, or other item before including it in a continuous stream.

Common setup problems
The playlist is ordered, but no live stream appears
A YouTube playlist only organizes videos. Start a broadcast through a hosted playout provider or a production encoder; playlist controls alone do not send a continuous live feed.

You cannot enable live streaming
Check that the channel is verified and has not had a live-streaming restriction within the preceding 90 days. If either condition is not met, resolve the channel eligibility issue in YouTube before troubleshooting a third-party service.
A video is missing from a made-for-kids playlist
YouTube’s help guidance describes a limitation when adding from the homepage. Try finding the video in search results and adding it from there.
The stream stops or fails to resume
First determine whether YouTube ended or interrupted the broadcast, or whether the playout source stopped sending. Check the provider’s stream status and the current YouTube live control room before restarting. If uninterrupted delivery is important, ask a provider what automatic recovery covers; StreamNeo includes automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream.
Recommended Free Tools
A video is blocked or raises a rights concern
Pause the affected item and verify that the channel has permission to stream it. A public or unlisted YouTube video, or a video already in your playlist, does not by itself prove that you hold rebroadcast rights.
