Crashes, No Sound, or Screen Glitches?
Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteWindows Errors? Fix Them Before They Spread
Repair common Windows errors and clear accumulated junk for a smoother, more stable PC - no reinstall needed.Free scan · no reinstallFor a prerecorded YouTube playlist that should keep streaming while your computer is off, choose a cloud playout service. StreamNeo is the first option to consider: it loops uploaded videos from the cloud, supports any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and gives new accounts one free day. Other cloud tools distinguish themselves through scheduling, live playlist editing, hybrid live-show workflows, or multistreaming. A home PC or self-managed server can also do the job, but you must maintain it.
Cloud automation removes your computer from the streaming path; it does not guarantee uninterrupted uptime, monetization, or audience growth. Vendor feature descriptions below are not independent reliability tests.

Which playlist automation tool should you choose?
| Tool or approach | Best fit | What its product information describes | Important qualification |
|---|---|---|---|
| StreamNeo | A YouTube channel that needs a cloud-hosted loop without keeping a home computer on | Upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. It loops uploaded video from the cloud and automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. | StreamNeo streams to YouTube only. Its service details and prices are described at StreamNeo. |
| Upstream | Creators who want ordered or shuffled looping and multiple destinations | Its page describes uploading videos once, playing them in order or shuffled on a loop, automatic restarts after platform time limits, and up to ten destinations from one stream. | These are vendor claims, not independent uptime findings. Upstream product information. |
| Playout.video | Channels that need calendar scheduling or a loop-to-live-show workflow | Its page describes drag-and-drop cloud playlists, calendar recurrence, per-slot fallback, inline playlist changes, and a hybrid mode that switches from a loop to a live studio segment and back. It claims multistreaming to 20+ platforms. | Check current plan availability and limits directly; listed performance and recovery claims are not independently validated here. Playout.video product information. |
| Livepush | Creators who need to edit a playlist while it is already live | Its page says creators can add, remove, swap, and reorder videos during a stream, with playback on its servers rather than a local computer or OBS. | Its page says continuous looping requires the Creators plan or above. Its discoverability and watch-time claims are promotional, not established outcomes. Livepush product information. |
| LiveGoLive | Creators assessing a cloud encoder for uploaded media | Its page describes continuous YouTube broadcasting from uploaded media and reconnection after transient interruptions. | The page presents a waitlist, so confirm availability and operating terms before relying on it. LiveGoLive product information. |
| OBS on a home computer or a self-managed server | Operators who want direct control and can maintain the equipment and software | A home setup uses an always-on PC, OBS scenes, and a loop plugin; a server setup requires installing and maintaining playout software. | You are responsible for the hardware, software, connection, and recovery. Upstream’s comparison of setup approaches. |

How the tools differ in practice
Playlist control and scheduling
Decide whether you only need a repeating playlist or need to program different content at different times. Upstream describes ordered and shuffled loops. Playout.video adds calendar recurrence and fallback content for a slot. Livepush focuses on changing the queue during an active stream. Those are different workflows; a claim of continuous looping does not by itself mean a service supports a calendar or live edits.
Switching between prerecorded and live programming
If the channel alternates between prerecorded blocks and a live hosted segment, Playout.video describes a hybrid mode that returns from its live studio workflow to the loop without stopping the broadcast. Confirm that the relevant feature is available on your intended plan. For a simple always-on prerecorded channel, this workflow may be unnecessary.

Destinations and recovery
StreamNeo is YouTube-only. Upstream describes up to ten destinations, while Playout.video claims multistreaming to 20+ platforms; these are vendor statements, not independent tests. The pages for Upstream, Playout.video, LiveGoLive, and StreamNeo describe restart or recovery behavior in different terms. Treat those as product capabilities to verify, not proof of uninterrupted service. Livepush’s cited product description focuses on cloud looping and playlist changes.

How much control do you want to own?
A self-managed OBS computer or server puts more of the operating setup in your hands, but also makes you responsible for power, cooling, software updates, network outages, and restarting a failed stream. A cloud service moves the playout machine off-site and avoids leaving your own computer running; you still need to check the broadcast and manage the YouTube channel and content.

Set up the channel before automating it
- Check live-stream eligibility. YouTube says a channel must be verified and must not have had a live-stream restriction in the previous 90 days. See YouTube’s live-stream eligibility guidance.
- Enable streaming ahead of launch. Google’s guide advises enabling live streaming at least 24 hours in advance, verifying the account, testing the complete setup, and scheduling the stream. Follow YouTube’s live-streaming guide for the current account workflow.
- Prepare media you have rights to use. YouTube’s live-stream terms make the provider responsible for having necessary rights, including applicable music rights. Permission to upload a track or video does not necessarily establish permission to broadcast it continuously. Review YouTube’s live-stream terms.
- Make the programming original and worthwhile. YouTube monetization guidance applies to live streams; generic, repetitive, or mass-produced material can be ineligible. Playlist automation does not make reused content eligible. See YouTube’s monetization policies.
- Decide whether you need a separate archive. YouTube says streams shorter than 12 hours can be automatically archived, while a stream longer than 12 hours may not be captured at all. Keep a local recording if an archive matters; YouTube recommends a local backup. See YouTube’s archive guidance.
Estimate the real cost and operational trade-offs
Compare more than the subscription price. A cloud service charges for a managed playout workflow; a DIY setup may involve a computer or server, electricity, connectivity, storage, maintenance time, and your own recovery process. The available product information does not establish independent uptime or long-term reliability comparisons among the cloud vendors, nor does it validate a particular mini PC’s ability to encode continuously. For DIY hardware, assess encoding support, cooling, network connectivity, storage, and support or replacement terms rather than assuming any small computer is suitable.
Use StreamNeo’s cloud-vs-PC cost calculator to compare the cost categories for your own setup. Automation and continuous airtime also do not establish ad delivery, earnings, or audience growth. YouTube lists ads, Super Chat, Super Stickers, and memberships as possible live-stream revenue features, but says ad slots are not guaranteed to serve; see YouTube’s live-stream monetization features.

Troubleshoot an always-on playlist
The channel cannot start a live stream
Check whether the channel is verified and whether a live-stream restriction falls within the previous 90 days. If streaming has not been enabled before, complete that step in advance rather than expecting immediate activation.
The stream stops or fails to resume
First determine whether the issue is with the YouTube broadcast, the cloud service, or a self-managed encoder and network. Check the provider’s current service status and recovery instructions, then confirm the stream key and scheduled broadcast settings. A vendor’s recovery claim is not a substitute for checking that the channel is back on air.

The playlist repeats the wrong item or changes do not appear
Check playlist order, shuffle or loop settings, and whether the product applies edits immediately or only after a current item ends. Livepush describes inline edits; other listed workflow details differ by vendor. If a service offers scheduling or fallback content, confirm the time zone, recurrence, and slot assignment.
The archive is missing
Check the stream duration before assuming the archive failed: YouTube says a broadcast longer than 12 hours may not be captured at all. Use a local recording when retaining the full program is important.
A stream receives a copyright claim or restriction
Review the rights for every video and audio track, including music used in the background. Remove or replace content you cannot lawfully broadcast, and consult YouTube’s live-stream terms and copyright notices for the specific issue.
Or let it run in the cloud
StreamNeo is the first cloud option to try if you want a prerecorded YouTube channel to keep running without a computer at home: upload a recording or playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. The first day is free with no card. Monthly service is $9.99 per month. Start your free day with StreamNeo.
