There is no verified universal “best” player for FC 27’s Frontline Flair Evolution: the available player lists are database examples, not a shared performance ranking. The practical shortlist includes Jonathan David, Rafael Leão, Christos Tzolis, Ayase Ueda, Mexx Meerdink, and Amanda Gutierres. Compare the exact card’s eligibility, role, and previewed result in Ultimate Team before committing it.
Who can use Frontline Flair?
FCData lists these requirements: maximum 83 Overall, maximum 84 Face Pace, maximum 7 PlayStyles, and a listed position of LW, RW, or ST. CAM and GK are excluded. Destructoid independently reports the same principal caps. Since different versions of a player can have different stats or positions, check the exact Player Item in the in-game Evolution preview rather than assuming a name is eligible.

EA’s Evolutions guidance describes Evolutions as a way to “level up, tweak, or customize your Players.” The preview is the final check for whether a particular item qualifies.
Players to consider
These names appear in database lists of eligible players or evolved outcomes. They are candidates to investigate, not a tested ranking of who performs best.

| Player | Why to check the card |
|---|---|
| Jonathan David | Listed among eligible-player examples and evolved-player examples by FUTEvolution. |
| Rafael Leão | Listed among FUTEvolution’s visible eligible-player examples. |
| Christos Tzolis | Appears in both eligible-player and evolved-player examples on FUTEvolution. |
| Ayase Ueda | Listed among evolved outcomes by FUTEvolution and trending outcomes by FCData. |
| Mexx Meerdink | Listed among evolved outcomes by FUTEvolution and trending outcomes by FCData. |
| Amanda Gutierres | Listed among evolved outcomes by FUTEvolution and trending outcomes by FCData. |
FUTEvolution also displays Omar Marmoush, Ademola Lookman, Savinho, Son Heung-min, and Gabriel Martinelli among eligible-player examples, and Gift Orban, Georges Mikautadze, and Kaoru Mitoma among evolved-player examples. These database listings can help you look for options, but they do not establish that a particular name is stronger in matches.
How to choose the right card for your squad
- Check the exact item. Confirm its listed position, Overall, Face Pace, and PlayStyle count against the caps. Special versions of the same player may differ.
- Start with the role you need. Choose an eligible winger or striker based on your formation and the job you want filled; the available sources do not establish one universally best position for this Evolution.
- Inspect the Evolution preview. Compare the resulting Player Item with the card you have now, and consider any Evolution chain you have planned. EA says subsequent Evolutions are filtered based on the resulting stats, so the outcome can matter beyond this single upgrade.
- Value the PlayStyle for how you play. Ratings alone do not capture every useful difference. EA explains that PlayStyles and PlayStyles+ affect abilities beyond a player’s ratings or attributes; consider whether the displayed PlayStyle suits the actions you use.
What the upgrade and timing information says
FUTEvolution lists Frontline Flair as a one-level Evolution with +1 Overall. FCData shows an example path with +1 Overall, +2 Pace, +1 Shooting, +2 Dribbling, and one PlayStyle upgrade. Those extra example changes should not be treated as guaranteed for every eligible card; check the preview for the item you are considering.

How much confidence to put in the candidate lists
FUTEvolution displays 20 eligible cards out of a pool of 4,101 cards. That is a database count against its listed caps, not a gameplay or performance measure. Neither the candidate lists nor the available sources provide a named-player match study or a defensible performance statistic for deciding which card is empirically best. Treat the names as a starting point, then make the decision from your squad needs and the in-game preview.
