Crashes, No Sound, or Screen Glitches?
Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteWindows Errors? Fix Them Before They Spread
Repair common Windows errors and clear accumulated junk for a smoother, more stable PC - no reinstall needed.Free scan · no reinstallThere is no single best PC preset for every No More Room in Hell 2 player. Use the game’s official hardware targets as a starting reference, then tune one setting at a time in the same repeatable scene. For smoother performance, community guides suggest testing an available compatible upscaler and reducing effects, shadows, foliage, and view distance progressively. For visibility, keep enough lighting, shadow, and distance detail to read your surroundings and spot threats.
Start with the official PC targets
Steam lists these minimum and recommended specifications and experience targets for No More Room in Hell 2. The target notes describe intended experiences; they are not guaranteed frame rates on every system.

| Tier | Processor | Memory | Graphics | Stated experience |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Minimum | Intel Core i5-6600 or AMD Ryzen 3 1200 | 12 GB RAM | GeForce GTX 1650 (4 GB), Radeon RX 570 (4 GB), or Intel Arc 580 | 1080p/30 on Low with Performance Super Sampling |
| Recommended | Intel Core i7-10700K or AMD Ryzen 5 5500GT | 16 GB RAM | GeForce RTX 2070 (8 GB) or Radeon RX 5700 XT (8 GB) | 1080p/60 Hz on High with Quality Super Sampling |
These specifications are from Steam’s No More Room in Hell 2 listing. If your PC is near the recommended tier, use High with Quality Super Sampling as a reference point rather than a promise. If it is closer to minimum, the listed Low and Performance Super Sampling target is a more cautious place to begin.

The game left Early Access with the Armageddon 1.0 launch on August 11, 2026. Torn Banner’s August 3, 2026 optimization and performance article describes support for DLSS 4.5, including Frame Generation on RTX 4000- and 5000-series cards, along with changes to impact and gore effects, shadows, lighting, model detail, and distance rendering.
The Armageddon 1.0 update notes also report fixes for some geometry pop-in on Low and Medium and a blue-highlight issue in the Low graphics menu. Torn Banner’s news index lists the September 15, 2026 Resupply 1.1 notes and an October 1, 2026 launch-highlights post. Check the version shown by your live game and the options actually available in its graphics menu: settings and behavior can change with updates.
Tune settings with repeatable comparisons
Community and independent guides offer useful troubleshooting ideas, but they do not establish a controlled performance ranking for each setting. One independent guide explicitly disclaims an in-house 1.0 benchmark and a guaranteed FPS target. Treat the steps below as a way to find what works on your PC, not as a tested universal preset.
#1 Best Overall
- System: AMD Ryzen 5 5500 3.6GHz 6 Cores | AMD B550 Chipset | 8GB DDR4 | 500GB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD | Windows 11 Home
- Graphics: AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT 4GB Graphics | 1x HDMI | 1x DisplayPort
- Connectivity: 4 x USB-A 3.2 | 4 x USB-A 2.0 | 1 x LAN | WiFi 5 | Bluetooth 5.0 | 7.1 Channel Audio
- Tempered Side Case Panel | Custom RGB Lighting | Keyboard and Mouse
- 1 Year Parts & Labor Warranty, Free Lifetime Tech Support
- Record your baseline. Note your GPU, CPU, resolution, graphics preset, upscaler and mode if available, Frame Generation state, driver, and game build. Pick a repeatable location or encounter where you notice the problem.
- Start near the quality level your PC can support. Use Steam’s recommended target as a reference if your hardware is in that class; otherwise use the minimum target as a more conservative reference. Keep the resolution and scene consistent while testing.
- Compare native resolution with an available compatible upscaler. If the current menu offers an upscaler your GPU supports, try a quality-oriented option before lowering several image-quality settings together. The reviewed official sources do not establish universal FSR or XeSS availability, nor do they confirm every mode on every build, so verify what your menu offers instead of assuming a particular option exists.
- Stabilize base performance before Frame Generation. If the game and your hardware expose Frame Generation, compare it on and off only after the rendered frame rate is reasonably stable. Check perceived latency, artifacts, and pacing as well as apparent smoothness; this is a comparison method, not evidence that one state is best for every PC.
- For hitches, lower one setting at a time. Community guides suggest testing effects and gore, shadows, foliage, and view distance progressively. Repeat the same encounter after each adjustment and note whether the hitch changes. This suggested order is not a developer-verified ranking of the most demanding settings.
- Keep a visibility check in the loop. Revisit the same interior and sightline after a change. If a lower setting makes it harder to read a room or notice movement, restore it or try a smaller adjustment elsewhere. This is a practical inference from the rendering changes Torn Banner describes, not a tested visibility-maximizing preset.
Change only one variable between comparisons. Record frame pacing and perceived responsiveness alongside whether important scene details remain legible; a higher-looking frame rate is not useful if the image becomes difficult to read or the game feels less responsive.
What to lower first for more FPS
If you are dealing with hitches rather than simply preferring a different image, use the community-guide sequence above as a set of candidates, not a guaranteed fix. Test effects and gore, shadows, foliage, and view distance one by one. Keep the same resolution and encounter during each comparison so a change in the scene does not masquerade as a settings improvement.

Perfect for gamers, students, content creators, and home office users seeking reliable performance without the hassle of building a PC themselves. The mature AM4 platform with DDR4 memory offers excellent value and proven stability.
Do not assume that Low is automatically the best competitive or visibility setting. Lower detail can also reduce visual information, and Torn Banner’s 1.0 notes show that distance rendering and other visual systems have changed since Early Access. The available sources do not publish setting-by-setting frame-rate impacts or an image comparison proving which configuration reveals threats best.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Why a specific FPS number cannot be promised
Your result depends on the hardware, driver, resolution, scene, and game build. Steam’s 1080p targets are experience notes rather than a guarantee for every PC, while the developer’s 1.0 performance article describes broad optimization work without giving per-setting FPS gains. Community and independent guides do not supply a controlled benchmark that would justify a universal number or ranking.
