Start with the published target for your display: Medium at 1080p/60 fps, High at 1440p/60+ fps, or Ultra at 4K/60+ fps. These are launch-specification targets that use a compatible upscaler—not guaranteed results on every PC. E-Day’s reported launch requirements also require a hardware ray-tracing-capable GPU.
Choose a starting preset by resolution
The Coalition’s published PC specifications, as reported by PC Gamer on October 1, 2026, pair each preset with a resolution and frame-rate target. The table’s targets include DLSS, FSR, TSR, or XeSS; actual performance depends on your hardware, scene, drivers, and upscaler configuration.

| Published tier | Starting preset and target | Example graphics cards | Memory and storage |
|---|---|---|---|
| Minimum | Medium; 1080p at 60 fps using DLSS, FSR, TSR, or XeSS | RTX 2060 or RTX 5050; RX 6600 or RX 9060 | 6 GB VRAM, 12 GB RAM, 115 GB SSD |
| Recommended | High; 1440p at 60+ fps using DLSS, FSR, TSR, or XeSS | RTX 3060 Ti or RTX 5060; RX 6700 XT or RX 9060 XT | 8 GB VRAM, 16 GB RAM, 115 GB SSD |
| Ultra | Ultra; 4K at 60+ fps using DLSS, FSR, TSR, or XeSS | RTX 5070 Ti or RX 7900 XT | 12 GB VRAM, 16 GB RAM, 115 GB SSD |
These are published target tiers, not a guarantee for every graphics card in a tier or every gameplay situation. The listed cards are examples. The report also says a hardware ray-tracing-capable graphics card is required; it does not establish that every card lacking dedicated ray-tracing hardware will work. See PC Gamer’s report of the launch system requirements.

Compare upscalers at your output resolution
The PC feature announcement lists NVIDIA DLSS 4.5, including Super Resolution and Dynamic Multi Frame Generation, NVIDIA Reflex, AMD FSR, Unreal Engine TSR, and Intel XeSS. Availability and behavior depend on compatible hardware. No single option is established as best for every configuration, so compare the available choices at your chosen output resolution and assess image quality as well as frame pacing and responsiveness. The game is built on Unreal Engine 5 and DirectX 12. Details are in Xbox Wire’s PC feature announcement.

Treat Advanced Shader Delivery as a loading feature
Advanced Shader Delivery can provide precompiled shaders to reduce loading time and first-run shader stutter on supported systems. Xbox’s July 2026 announcement lists support on storefronts including the Microsoft Store and Xbox PC app, with wider support expected to expand over time. It is a compatibility-dependent delivery feature, not a graphics-quality setting.
Check performance in real gameplay
Use the built-in benchmark to compare changes consistently, then check the result in a representative level or combat sequence. Tom’s Hardware found the benchmark a reasonable approximation, but it looked somewhat different and ran slightly slower than its gameplay scenes. A setting change that helps the benchmark may not have the same effect in play.

- QHD Resolution (2560 x 1440) has 1.7 times the pixel density of Full HD for incredibly detailed pinsharp images
- HDR10 provides brighter highlights and nuanced shadow for added depth - making every scene feel more vivid and realistic
- The 180Hz refresh rate minimizes lag for gameplay with ultra-smooth action. Plus, the 1ms response time helps capture your moves in real-time, allowing you to react fast for gaming precision
- AMD FreeSync reduces choppiness, screen lag and image tearing, ensuring that your fast-paced, complex in-game action is stable with minimal stutter
- Ergonomic stand allows for tilt, pivot and height adjustments to maximize gaming comfort
Tom’s Hardware reports five graphics presets. In its CPU testing, moving from High to Medium provided little extra performance in that test, while differences between processors became more visible at High. This is a test-specific observation, not a reason to assume High is optimal on every PC. Read the outlet’s benchmark and preset testing for its test context.

Use Low Core Mode only to troubleshoot
Low Core Mode is a System option, not a general performance preset. In Tom’s Hardware’s test of 25 CPUs, enabling it reduced performance across the processors tested. In a separate dual-core test, it addressed streaming and pause-menu problems. The outlet did not test mobile processors or handhelds, where the mode may be more useful.
Rank #3
- Smooth motion: 240Hz refresh rate and fast 0.5ms response time provide crisp visuals and fluid movement with less input lag.
- Seamless gaming: FreeSync Premium and HDMI VRR eliminate tearing for smooth, responsive PC and console gameplay.
- Fast IPS: Faster 0.5ms response with excellent color accuracy across wide IPS viewing angles.
- Rich color: 99% sRGB color coverage delivers vivid, detailed imagery with strong accuracy.
- Eye comfort: TÜV Rheinland 3‑star certified display lowers blue light while preserving color quality.
- Leave Low Core Mode off as a starting point.
- If a low-core-count PC or handheld has streaming or pause-menu problems, try enabling it and compare the same gameplay sequence with the mode off and on.
Those results are specific to Tom’s Hardware’s test systems; they do not predict performance on every processor. See its CPU and Low Core Mode testing.
