For a stable OBS loop on JioFiber, start with a looping Media Source, H.264, CBR, a 2-second keyframe interval, and a bitrate your measured upload can sustain with about 20% headroom. Begin at 720p30 if upload performance is uncertain; move to 1080p30 only after a test shows that your connection and computer can handle it. JioFiber’s advertised download speed does not tell you how much upload capacity your stream has.
Start with a conservative OBS and YouTube configuration
There is no single bitrate that is best for every JioFiber connection. The right setting depends on sustained upload at the streaming PC, household traffic, Wi-Fi conditions, the video’s resolution and motion, and whether the computer can encode continuously. YouTube’s figures below are ingest recommendations, not guarantees about your line.

Use these baseline encoder settings
- Connection: Connect OBS to YouTube through its service integration or enter the stream URL and key provided by YouTube Studio. Prefer RTMPS when available. Treat the stream key like a password; it allows an encoder to send a feed for YouTube to accept. YouTube explains stream URLs and keys.
- Video encoder: H.264 is a conservative compatibility choice. YouTube also supports H.265/HEVC and AV1 for RTMP/RTMPS ingest, but the encoder must support the format you select. See YouTube’s encoder guidance.
- Rate control: CBR.
- Keyframe interval: 2 seconds. YouTube recommends two seconds and says not to exceed four seconds.
- Audio: AAC or MP3 are supported. For stereo, YouTube’s advanced guidance specifies 44.1 kHz and 128 kbps.
- Latency: Use normal latency unless live audience interaction makes lower latency important. YouTube notes that lower latency may increase playback buffering.
YouTube’s live encoder guidance does not prescribe a universal OBS encoder preset or hardware-versus-software encoder choice. Choose an option the PC can sustain without encoding overload, then verify it during a representative test.

- Wide Compatibility: With the RJ45 Connector, network cable can be perfectly compatible with computers, laptops, modems, routers, PS5, X-Box and other networking devices. It can also be fully backward compatible with Cat7, Cat6e, Cat6, Cat5e, Cat5
| Output | Minimum bitrate | Recommended bitrate |
|---|---|---|
| 720p30 | 3 Mbps | 8 Mbps |
| 720p60 | 3 Mbps | 8 Mbps |
| 1080p30 | 5 Mbps | 14 Mbps |
| 1080p60 | 6 Mbps | 17 Mbps |
For a mostly static loop, 30 fps is a sensible low-demand starting point when the source is 30 fps or does not gain much from 60 fps. Start at 720p30 if upload headroom is uncertain. Consider 1080p30 if measured upload and test-stream health leave enough room. Higher resolution or frame rate is useful only if the source benefits from it and the network and encoder can sustain it.
Measure the JioFiber upload the stream will actually use
Check upload, not just download. Jio says its NetVelocity tool provides upload speed, network quality and overall connection performance on JioFiber. Test on the same connection and device setup you intend to stream with, at a time representative of the broadcast; other household devices share the available capacity. - Jadaol cat6 standard cable support Cat8 and Cat7 network and provides performance of up to 250 MHz 10Gbps and is suitable for 10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX (Fast Ethernet), 1000BASE-T/1000BASE-TX (Gigabit Ethernet) and 10GBASE-T (10-Gigabit Ethernet)
- UTP(Unshielded Twisted Pair) patch cable with RJ45 gold-plated Connectors and are made of 100% bare copper wire, ensure minimal noise and interference
- The unique flat cable shape allows for a cleaner and safer installation. You can easily and seamlessly make the cable run along walls, follow edges & corners or even make it completely invisible by sliding it under a carpet.
YouTube says the total stream bitrate must fit within available upload bandwidth and recommends leaving 20% headroom. In practical terms, the stream’s total outgoing bitrate should stay below sustained upload capacity, with room for variation and other traffic. A speed test is a snapshot, so validate the chosen bitrate during a test stream as well. YouTube’s “Streaming tips”.
- If the line’s upload varies, use a lower bitrate or resolution rather than relying on its best moment.
- If the PC is on Wi-Fi and OBS shows dropped frames, try Ethernet as a troubleshooting step. The improvement, if any, depends on the local setup.
- Download speed alone cannot establish that a particular stream bitrate will be stable.
Set up the repeating video or playlist
Loop one local video with Media Source
- In OBS, add a Media Source and select the local video file.
- Enable Loop in the source properties so playback starts again when the file ends.
- Confirm the source’s audio is the track you intend to broadcast. Play the file and check that the OBS audio meters move.
- Watch the transition at the end and beginning of the file. Confirm both picture and sound repeat as intended.
OBS documents Media Source as supporting common video and audio formats and describes Loop as replaying the file when playback completes. OBS Project: Media Sources.

Loop a playlist with VLC Video
For a playlist, use OBS’s VLC Video source and enable Loop Playlist. VLC must be installed, and its bitness must match OBS. Check the playlist’s audio and transitions in the OBS preview before broadcasting.
Test the stream before going public
- Set the OBS canvas and output to the intended aspect ratio and resolution. Match the frame rate to the source and what the computer can encode steadily.
- Enter the YouTube connection details and apply the H.264, CBR, 2-second keyframe and upload-safe bitrate settings.
- Create a private or unlisted test stream in YouTube Studio. Watch the preview and check picture, audio and stream health.
- Let the test run across at least one loop point. Check that the transition is clean and audio does not disappear or restart incorrectly.
- During a longer broadcast, keep the computer awake, ensure the file and its storage remain available, and monitor OBS and YouTube stream health.
YouTube recommends testing representative audio and movement and monitoring stream health. A test cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation, but it can expose an unsuitable bitrate, audio problem or loop transition before a public broadcast. YouTube Help: encoder settings and stream health.

Troubleshoot common loop and stream problems
| Symptom | Likely issue | What to try |
|---|---|---|
| OBS reports dropped frames or YouTube shows poor stream health | Upload is insufficient or unstable, or other traffic is using bandwidth. | Reduce video bitrate and, if needed, output resolution. Retest with household usage representative of the broadcast; try Ethernet if the PC is on Wi-Fi. |
| OBS reports encoding overload | The PC cannot encode the selected resolution, frame rate or encoder settings continuously. | Reduce output resolution or frame rate, or select an encoder and preset the computer can sustain. Recheck stream health after each change. |
| The video plays but the stream has no audio | The selected file track or source audio routing is not the intended one. | Check the Media Source audio configuration, play the file and confirm OBS meters move before testing again. |
| The file stops instead of repeating | Loop is not enabled on the Media Source, or Loop Playlist is not enabled for VLC Video. | Open the source properties and enable the corresponding loop option; test across the end of the file. |
| YouTube does not accept the feed | The connection URL or stream key may be incorrect, or the selected ingest configuration may not match. | Check the current URL and key in YouTube Studio and re-enter them in OBS. Keep the key private. |
Or let it run in the cloud
If the goal is a YouTube channel that keeps looping while your home PC is off, StreamNeo runs uploaded videos from the cloud rather than from OBS on your computer. The setup is: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, then go live. StreamNeo is YouTube-only and plays uploaded videos; it is not a camera broadcast.
