First decide whether you need a web app that works in a phone browser, an app intended for Apple’s App Store or Google Play, or both. Bubble, FlutterFlow, Adalo, and Glide cover different combinations of those needs; their official feature pages support a practical comparison, not an independent ranking for performance or ease of use.
Start by defining where your app must run
“Mobile app” can mean two different things: a responsive web app opened in a phone browser, or an iOS or Android app built for distribution through an app store. A shareable, mobile-friendly web app is not automatically a native app-store build.

Make a short destination list before comparing platforms:
- Web only: People access the product in a browser, possibly through a custom domain.
- App stores: You need iOS and/or Android build outputs and a route to publish them.
- Web and app stores: Check whether one project can support all destinations, and whether data and workflows are shared.
That distinction matters because vendors package web publishing and app-store deployment differently. For example, Bubble documents separate web-only, mobile-only, and combined plans, while Adalo describes publishing one project to the web and both major app stores.

How the four builders differ
| Builder | Documented destinations and workflow | Best fit to investigate | Key qualification |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bubble | Web-only, mobile-only, or combined web-and-mobile plans. A project-level plan covers apps in that project; Bubble says web and mobile apps in the same project can share data, workflows, and infrastructure. Mobile plans support iOS and Android production builds and app-store publishing. | A product that needs web and mobile apps connected to the same project and backend. | Confirm the live plan, price, billing cadence, workload limits, and build allotments. These terms can change. |
| FlutterFlow | Advertises mobile, web, and desktop app building. Its Basic plan lists source-code and APK downloads, custom-domain web publishing, local-device testing, and one-click app-store deployment. Growth lists GitHub integration and real-time collaboration. | A project where downloadable source code or a developer handoff is an important part of the workflow. | Plan features and billing selection can change. Code export does not establish that no further development work will be needed. |
| Adalo | Describes one project publishing to the web, Apple App Store, and Google Play. Its publishing information specifies iOS IPA and Android AAB build outputs. | A project intended for web access as well as distribution through both major app stores. | Adalo says publishing requires a paid plan and Apple and Google developer accounts. Confirm current plan terms and account fees. |
| Glide | Its pricing page distinguishes personal/team app publishing from public apps. | Apps that fit Glide’s documented publishing options, after checking who needs access and how the app will be distributed. | The reviewed pricing page does not establish native iOS or Android app-store output. Verify that separately if store distribution is required. |
Choose by the constraint that matters most
If you need a public web app
Compare browser access, custom-domain support, publishing limits, and the plan required to make the app public. Do not assume a web plan includes app-store distribution. Bubble explicitly separates web-only plans from mobile options; FlutterFlow lists custom-domain web publishing among its Basic features. Glide’s pricing page distinguishes personal/team publishing from public apps, so check that the intended audience matches the plan.
If app-store distribution is mandatory
Look for documented iOS and Android build support, publishing steps, and account prerequisites—not just a mobile-friendly interface. Bubble documents production builds and publishing to Apple’s App Store and Google Play on its mobile plans. Adalo documents IPA and AAB outputs and says you need a paid Adalo plan plus Apple and Google developer accounts. FlutterFlow’s Basic plan lists one-click app-store deployment. The exact current plan requirements should be checked with each provider.

If one product must span web and mobile
Ask whether the destinations are handled by one project and whether they share the same data and workflows. Bubble documents shared data, workflows, and infrastructure for web and mobile apps inside one project. Adalo describes one project publishing to three destinations: web, Apple’s App Store, and Google Play. These are different vendor descriptions; confirm that each platform’s current setup matches your architecture and release needs.
If developer handoff or portability matters
FlutterFlow lists source-code downloads and APK downloads on Basic, and GitHub integration on Growth. Those features can help with handoff, but they do not by themselves show how much customization, maintenance, or deployment work a developer will need after export. Ask who will own the code and build pipeline before treating export as a complete escape from the platform.

Check the full cost and publishing conditions
A base subscription is not necessarily the total cost of launching and maintaining an app. Before choosing, verify the current vendor terms for the precise plan you would use, including:
- Monthly versus annual billing and any commitment required.
- Usage or workload limits, project and seat limits, and build allotments.
- Whether web publishing, custom domains, or app-store deployment are included at that tier.
- Developer-account requirements and any separate fees charged by Apple or Google.
- What happens if you exceed a limit or need more builds, collaborators, or app destinations.
Prices, plan names, limits, and developer-account fees are volatile. The linked provider pages are the place to confirm current terms before budgeting; comparing a subscription price alone with an estimate that includes store accounts would not be like for like.

What this comparison can—and cannot—establish
The feature descriptions above come from the builders’ official product or pricing information, not independent tests. They can help identify a platform whose documented publishing and workflow options match your requirements, but they do not establish which builder is easiest, fastest, most scalable, or best-performing for a particular app. The four platforms are a starting shortlist, not an exhaustive survey of every no-code builder.
