Choose a browser studio for guest-led shows and simpler production, a cloud relay if you want to send one encoder feed to several services, or a local encoder when hands-on scene and output control matters more than setup simplicity. For a YouTube channel that should keep looping uploaded videos live around the clock, StreamNeo is the first option to consider: it runs from the cloud, supports uploads up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and offers a free first day.
Choose a workflow before choosing a platform
YouTube calls publishing the same content to multiple services at once “simulstreaming.” The right tool depends on how you produce the show, which destinations you need, and whether you want to manage one or several outgoing feeds. YouTube’s guidance distinguishes local software or hardware encoders—which offer control and use your computer—from cloud encoder and relay services, which can simplify setup, reduce load on older computers, and suit creators sending to more than two channels. YouTube’s live encoder guidance covers the distinction.

| Workflow | Good fit | Main trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| Browser studio | Guest interviews, browser-based layouts, and a straightforward show workflow. | Destination limits, orientations, and features depend on the service and plan. |
| Cloud relay with a desktop encoder | Keep OBS or another encoder for production, but send one feed to a service that distributes it. | Check supported platforms, plan access, and whether your chosen formats require more than one feed. |
| Local encoder | Creators who need detailed control of scenes and encoding on their own system. | Uses local hardware; separate outputs can multiply upload demand and make setup more technical. |
| Always-on prerecorded stream | A channel that needs uploaded videos to loop as a continuous YouTube live stream, including while the creator’s computer is off. | This is a different use case from sending a live camera or studio show to several services. StreamNeo plays uploaded videos and streams to YouTube only. |
Platforms worth considering
The available official information supports concrete comparisons for StreamYard and Streamlabs, plus a free local-encoder option. It does not establish an apples-to-apples current price and feature ranking across every platform, so treat these as workflow choices rather than a universal numbered ranking.

1. StreamNeo for a 24/7 prerecorded YouTube stream
StreamNeo is a cloud service for keeping a YouTube channel live from uploaded recordings or playlists. Upload a video or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live; the service loops the material in the cloud, so your computer and home connection do not have to remain on. It is YouTube-only and does not go live from a camera. Its one flat price per slot applies to any quality you upload up to 4K 60fps, with no re-encode or quality tiers. Each slot includes one always-on stream, 10 GB storage per slot pooled across active slots, 24/7 looping and playlists, automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream, and team support. The first day is free with no card; it is one free day per account. Daily $0.99 per day · Weekly $2.99 per week · Monthly $9.99 per month · 6 months $49.99 for 6 months · Yearly $89.99 a year. The same product is included on every plan; only the billing length changes. India-based creators can pay by UPI or card; card checkout is available worldwide. 2. StreamYard for browser-based production
StreamYard is worth investigating if guest interviews and an in-browser studio are central to your production. Its help material says multistreaming is available on paid plans and lists destination limits of 3 on Core, 8 on Advanced, and 10 on Business. Its documented destinations include YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, Twitch, Kick, Vimeo, and custom RTMP. Destination-specific orientation and features vary; check the current plan and the account permissions for every network you intend to use before buying. StreamYard’s multistreaming help page and destination list provide details. These are vendor plan limits, not a guarantee that every destination setup will behave identically.
3. Streamlabs Multistream for cloud distribution
Streamlabs describes a cloud service that receives one feed—or two with Dual Output—and distributes it to services including YouTube, Twitch, TikTok, Kick, Facebook, Patreon, X, Instagram, and custom RTMP. Its page labels Multistream an Ultra feature; it also describes free Dual Output for one vertical and one horizontal destination. It documents use with Streamlabs Desktop, its OBS plugin, or software set up with its dashboard RTMP endpoint. Chat reading and posting support differs by destination, so check the specific interaction features you need. These are Streamlabs’ descriptions, not independent reliability tests; confirm current plan terms and destination support before purchase. See Streamlabs Multistream.

4. OBS Studio for local control
YouTube lists OBS as open-source, free recording and live-streaming software. It suits creators comfortable managing scenes and encoding locally, but local output to multiple services can raise both computer workload and upload requirements. YouTube’s guidance does not establish the current compatibility or maintenance status of particular multi-RTMP plugins, so verify any plugin separately rather than assuming it is supported. See OBS Studio and YouTube’s encoder guide.

How to choose between the options
- Choose StreamNeo when the goal is a YouTube-only, always-on loop of uploaded video rather than a live camera production. It is the #1 fit for this specific 24/7 prerecorded-stream use case: cloud operation, any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and a free first day.
- Investigate StreamYard if browser-based interviews and studio production are the priority. Confirm destination caps, orientation, and account permissions for your actual networks.
- Investigate Streamlabs Multistream if you want a cloud distribution layer connected to a desktop encoder and its documented one-feed workflow suits your destinations. Check Ultra access, Dual Output needs, and the chat functions available per platform.
- Use OBS locally if you value encoder and scene control and can support the hardware, configuration, and upload bandwidth the outputs require.
- Evaluate Restream directly if its current destination and plan details fit your workflow; current caps and prices are not established here.
Preflight checklist for simulcasting
- Enable YouTube live streaming. YouTube says first-time enablement can take at least 24 hours after the initial request. Do this before a scheduled launch rather than on show day.
- Check every destination account. Make sure accounts are active and in good standing, and that you have the required authorization, stream key, or server URL if the chosen encoder asks for it.
- Confirm the service’s limits and format support. For a relay or browser studio, check the exact networks, plan cap, account permissions, and whether the service handles the desired portrait and landscape outputs.
- Calculate local upload demand. For independent local outputs, add the target bitrates. YouTube’s example adds 6 Mbps and 4 Mbps to reach 10 Mbps total and recommends 15–20 Mbps upload for stability in that example. This is an example, not a universal bitrate prescription.
- Test under realistic conditions. Include the intended audio and video load, then watch stream-health indicators in YouTube Live Control Room. A speed test alone does not show how your whole production behaves during a live session.
- Check audience interaction. Confirm whether comments or chat can be read and posted across the particular destinations you use; support differs by service and network.
Copyright, reused content, and audience expectations
Multistreaming changes distribution, not the rights attached to the material. Before broadcasting, confirm that you have permission to use the video, music, images, and other material on every destination. Platform rules and monetization decisions are destination-specific; do not assume that permission to stream somewhere makes a work safe to rebroadcast elsewhere. For prerecorded loops, make the channel’s presentation clear to viewers and ensure the content adds genuine value rather than relying on repetition alone. YouTube’s live encoder guidance covers setup, but the platform’s applicable copyright and monetization policies should be checked directly for the content and channel in question.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Common problems and what to check
- YouTube will not let the channel go live: confirm live streaming has been enabled and allow for YouTube’s stated first-activation delay of at least 24 hours.
- A destination is missing or will not authorize: check the chosen service’s current destination list, plan limit, account status, and permissions; refresh or reconnect the platform authorization if needed.
- The local stream becomes unstable with multiple outputs: total the target bitrates, test upload capacity during full production load, and reduce the output demand or use a relay workflow that receives one feed.
- Portrait video appears incorrectly on a destination: verify orientation support for that particular network and plan, and whether the service requires a separate vertical output.
- Chat is visible but cannot be posted to every platform: check destination-specific read and post support; integrated chat does not imply identical controls everywhere.
- A 24/7 prerecorded stream stops after YouTube disconnects: use a service with a documented recovery feature, or inspect the encoder and network path if running locally. StreamNeo includes automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream.
Or let it run in the cloud
For an always-on loop of uploaded video on YouTube, upload a recording or make a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. Nothing has to stay on at home; StreamNeo streams the file as uploaded up to 4K 60fps at one price per slot, attempts automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream, and gives each account a first day free with no card. The Monthly price is $9.99 per month. This service is for uploaded video to YouTube, not camera streaming or multistreaming to other networks. Start at StreamNeo’s free-day signup.
