That makes it a strong lead option—not a universal fit. The right choice depends on whether you can comfortably reach the buttons, how much weight you prefer, and whether you want wired or wireless play.
What makes a mouse useful for World of Warcraft?
A mouse with side buttons can put abilities, interrupts, items, or other actions within thumb reach instead of requiring as many keyboard keybinds. An MMO-style grid offers more inputs in one place, but having more buttons is useful only if you can distinguish and reach them reliably. CORSAIR SCIMITAR ELITE WIRELESS SE: an adjustable thumb grid
This is the clearest starting point if you want a dense MMO layout. CORSAIR lists 16 programmable buttons, including a repositionable 12-button Key Slider side panel. Its published specifications also include a 33,000 DPI optical sensor, 1,000 Hz polling rate, and 114 g weight. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent measurements.

Razer Naga V3 Pro: a modular alternative to investigate
Windows Central’s August 11, 2026 review discusses the Naga V3 Pro for MMO and MOBA play, including the reviewer’s experience using it in World of Warcraft. The reviewer said its additional inputs helped with a class that previously required many keybinds. That example illustrates why extra inputs may matter, but it does not establish that the mouse suits every hand or play style. RTINGS describes the Aerox 9 Wireless as a lightweight MMO mouse. It is worth investigating if weight is a higher priority for you than a particular side-button arrangement. Logitech G600 and G604: treat as legacy or resale options
RTINGS removed the G600 and G604 from its notable mentions because they were no longer available for a reasonable price. Older recommendation lists are not proof that either model is a good-value buy now. Consider one only after checking local stock, condition, and total price against current alternatives. Start with the side-button layout
- Choose a dense MMO grid if you want many thumb-accessible actions and can comfortably tell the buttons apart.
- Consider an adjustable panel if moving the grid may help you reach it; CORSAIR documents a repositionable 12-button panel on the SCIMITAR ELITE WIRELESS SE.
- Prefer fewer buttons if a large grid feels crowded or you expect to use only a small number of mouse binds.
Check fit before committing
Side-button reach and grip are personal. Check the mouse’s physical dimensions and the seller’s return policy so you can assess whether your thumb reaches the controls without straining. An adjustable panel can change its position, but it cannot guarantee a comfortable fit for every hand.

Decide how much weight matters
The SCIMITAR ELITE WIRELESS SE is listed at 114 g by CORSAIR. RTINGS describes the Aerox 9 Wireless as lightweight, making weight a useful point of comparison if you are sensitive to it. The available evidence does not establish that either weight is best for every player.
Match the connection to your setup
The SCIMITAR ELITE WIRELESS SE offers 2.4 GHz, Bluetooth, and wired USB use while charging, according to CORSAIR. If you choose it, compare the connection modes with your devices and decide whether switching between wireless and wired use matters to you. Its advertised battery life varies by mode and assumes RGB is off.

Check the current total cost and stock
Prices and availability change, and older models can become poor-value purchases when stock is limited. Compare current local listings and account for condition and shipping, especially for a used or resale-market mouse. Do not rely on a past roundup price as a current offer.
