The best IRL Pro alternative depends on what you want to keep live. For a 24/7 loop of uploaded videos, StreamNeo is the first option to consider: it runs from the cloud, supports uploads up to 4K at 60 fps at one flat price per slot, and offers a free first day. For a live phone camera, look at Moblin or BELABOX when you need bonded mobile connections; for a fixed camera or a continuously produced live show, consider a hardware encoder or a cloud studio.
These are different jobs. IRL Pro is an Android app for sending a live feed over a single connection using RTMP or SRT. It is not a prerecorded-video looping service. Choose by source first: a moving phone camera, a fixed camera, a browser-produced show, or videos you want to replay.

| What you want to stream | Best-fit option | Why it differs from IRL Pro |
|---|---|---|
| Uploaded videos in a continuous YouTube loop | StreamNeo | Cloud service for looping uploaded videos and playlists; the computer does not need to stay on. |
| Live video from an Android phone on one connection | IRL Pro or another mobile encoder | Phone capture and transmission, rather than unattended prerecorded playback. |
| Live mobile video with multiple network links | Moblin or BELABOX with SRTLA | SRTLA combines links; the cited IRL Pro setup supports only one connection. |
| Continuous live video from a browser-based production | Upstream | YouTube lists it as a cloud studio for 24/7 live video streaming. |
| Fixed-camera stream encoded locally | AJA HELO Plus | A standalone hardware encoder, not a phone app. |
YouTube’s verified encoder directory is a useful starting point for the cloud and hardware products, but its listings do not establish current prices, plan limits, regional availability, or uptime commitments. Confirm those details with the provider before choosing.

1. StreamNeo: cloud looping for uploaded videos
StreamNeo is the strongest fit in this list when the goal is to keep a YouTube channel live by playing uploaded recordings rather than broadcasting a camera. Upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and start the stream. StreamNeo loops the videos from the cloud, so your computer, OBS setup, and home internet connection do not have to remain on.

2. Gyre: a YouTube-listed cloud service for prerecorded streams
YouTube’s encoder directory describes Gyre as a cloud-based service for 24/7 streaming of prerecorded videos without a dedicated PC. That makes it relevant to the same broad use case as a continuous video loop, but the listing alone does not establish current plan limits, channel eligibility, price, or an uptime guarantee. Check those details directly before committing.
Alternatives for live mobile streaming
IRL Pro’s documented limits
IRL Pro runs on Android and supports RTMP and SRT. Its cited setup guide describes transmission over a single connection, without bonding. It can suit a phone stream when one connection is adequate, but a single mobile link can be a weak point when coverage changes or the network becomes congested.
Moblin or BELABOX with SRTLA for multiple links
SRT is designed to handle packet loss within a configurable time buffer, but it uses one network path. SRTLA spreads a stream across multiple links, such as two SIM connections or a SIM plus Wi-Fi. The protocol guide identifies Moblin and BELABOX as SRTLA options, and the IRL Pro guide points to them for bonding.

Bonding is useful only if you have distinct connections available and configure the workflow to use them. It does not turn a mobile camera stream into an unattended prerecorded loop, and the cited sources do not provide a head-to-head reliability test or current prices for these options.

Upstream for browser-based cloud production
YouTube lists Upstream as a browser-based cloud studio for 24/7 live video streaming. This is a possible fit for a live production workflow, not a phone encoder or a prerecorded-video service by definition. Before relying on it, verify that it accepts your particular source, and check plan restrictions, cost, region, and recovery behavior; the YouTube listing does not settle those questions.
AJA HELO Plus for a local fixed-camera setup
YouTube lists AJA HELO Plus as a standalone H.264 encoder for streaming directly to YouTube Live and recording at the same time. It may fit a fixed-camera installation where local hardware is appropriate. Confirm camera compatibility and how the proposed setup will run unattended; this product is not a direct mobile-app substitute.

Relay and production-control tools are a different category
IRLServer and IRLControl
IRL.software describes IRLServer as relay infrastructure that accepts SRTLA, SRT, and RTMP and works with several IRL rigs, including BELABOX, Moblin, and LiveU. It is infrastructure for relaying a feed, not by itself a phone capture app or a documented prerecorded-video looping service. The same site describes IRLControl as a way to control OBS and Moblin remotely.
IRLToolkit encoder compatibility
IRLToolkit’s support list includes LiveU Solo, BelaBox, OBS, IRL Pro, Prism Live, Streamlabs, and CameraFi. Treat this as compatibility guidance, not as an independent assessment of quality or reliability.

- Enable live streaming in YouTube. For a channel’s first live stream, YouTube says enabling the feature may take up to 24 hours. Do this before a planned launch rather than assuming a new encoder can start immediately.
- Choose the correct source and workflow. Decide whether the stream is a phone camera, a fixed camera, a browser-produced live show, or uploaded videos. That decision determines whether you need mobile transmission, local encoding, a cloud studio, or cloud looping.
- Use the stream key only in the chosen encoder or service. YouTube’s stream key connects the encoder to the channel’s live feed. Keep it private; anyone with access to it may be able to send a feed to that destination. Follow the selected tool’s setup flow rather than assuming IRL Pro settings apply elsewhere.
- Test a private or unlisted stream first. Confirm the correct video or camera source, audio, orientation, destination channel, and whether the stream recovers as expected if the connection drops. The cited sources do not establish identical recovery behavior across these products.
- Check rights and channel eligibility. Use only video and audio you have rights to stream, and check YouTube’s current live-streaming and monetization policies. A continuous stream is not exempt from copyright rules or channel-level eligibility requirements.
Common problems and practical fixes
- Live streaming is unavailable on a new channel: enable it in YouTube and allow up to 24 hours for first-time activation.
- A mobile stream breaks when coverage changes: IRL Pro’s documented setup uses one connection. If you have multiple independent links, consider an SRTLA workflow such as Moblin or BELABOX; otherwise, test a single-link SRT setup and its configured recovery buffer.
- A prerecorded loop stops when a home computer is shut down: a locally running encoder depends on that computer and its connection. For uploaded-video playback without a computer left on, use a cloud looping service.
- A cloud listing does not answer whether your source is supported: ask the provider about your exact input, channel eligibility, service region, plan limits, and what happens after a YouTube disconnect before moving a production.
- A fixed camera will not feed the encoder: verify the camera’s output and compatibility with the chosen hardware encoder, then test the complete unattended arrangement. A listed encoder does not guarantee compatibility with every camera.
Cost and fit: what is established
Current prices for Gyre, Upstream, Moblin, BELABOX, and AJA HELO Plus are not established by the cited YouTube and product documentation here, so compare current provider terms directly. For a prerecorded loop, StreamNeo’s published options are:
- Daily $0.99 per day
- Weekly $2.99 per week
- Monthly $9.99 per month
- 6 months $49.99 for 6 months
- Yearly $89.99 a year
Use the upload-time calculator to estimate transfer time, the cloud vs PC cost calculator to compare operating approaches, and the copyright safety checklist to review a video library before streaming.
Or let it run in the cloud
If your goal is a continuous loop of uploaded videos, use StreamNeo rather than keeping a home computer online: upload your recording or playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. Nothing has to stay on at home; videos stream as uploaded up to 4K 60 fps at one price per slot; automatic recovery can restart the stream if YouTube drops it. The first day is free with no card, and the Monthly plan is $9.99 per month. Start your free first day with StreamNeo.
