There are no documented graphics or performance settings to adjust in Cities: Skylines – Nintendo Switch Edition. Nintendo’s listing confirms handheld, tabletop and TV play, but does not describe a graphics preset, resolution or frame-rate option—or say one mode performs better than another. If you are looking for a setting that will make a large city run faster, the available documentation does not establish one.
Are there graphics or performance settings on Switch?
Nintendo’s product listing for Cities: Skylines – Nintendo Switch Edition identifies the game as a download release published by Paradox Interactive and adapted for Switch by Tantalus Media. It lists supported play modes, but no in-game graphics menu, adjustable resolution, frame-rate cap or performance preset. The sources available therefore do not support recommending a “best” graphics configuration.

Do handheld, tabletop or TV mode affect performance?
The official listing supports all three modes and names the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller as compatible. It does not compare image quality, resolution or performance across modes, so switching modes should not be presented as a proven performance tweak. Choose whichever mode suits how you want to play; there is no documented mode-specific advantage for graphics or simulation speed.
What should I expect from a large city?
A Nintendo Life review from the game’s 2018 launch period reported that frame rates could fall into the low 20s in larger urban hubs. That is a historical reviewer observation, not a controlled benchmark or a measurement of current performance across all cities and systems. It offers context for reports of slowdown as a city grows, but does not identify a setting that fixes it.

Where are the Nintendo Switch system settings?
For general console options, Nintendo’s instructions are to open System Settings from the HOME Menu and select a setting from the menu. This is a path to the console’s system settings, not evidence of a game-specific graphics control or a setting that improves Cities: Skylines performance. Nintendo’s documentation does not establish that changing a console option will improve this game’s graphics or simulation speed.

Paradox’s graphics optimization guide is for Cities: Skylines II, not the original Cities: Skylines Nintendo Switch Edition. Its PC settings—including resolution and depth-of-field options—are not documentation for the Switch game. Do not use them as a guide to settings that may not exist in this edition.
