For a Pixel 11 Pro XL, start with a protector listed by Google for that exact model, then choose the surface that suits how you use the phone: clear glass for an unobstructed view, privacy glass to narrow side viewing, or an anti-reflective option to reduce glare. Google’s certification confirms model compatibility; it is not a ranking of protection or a guarantee of identical fingerprint performance.
Google’s certified list includes options from Belkin, Case-Mate, dbrand, Mous, Spigen, ZAGG and other brands. The guide below helps you compare them and set up Fingerprint Unlock after installation.
How to choose a Pixel 11 Pro XL screen protector
Google announced that the Pixel 11 series would be available in stores starting August 20, 2026. The Pixel 11 Pro XL is one of the two Pro sizes, so check the package and product listing for the full model name—not merely “Pixel 11 Pro”—before buying.
Google says the Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL have a Super Actua display with peak brightness up to 3,600 nits and a new anti-scratch coating it says delivers more than double the previous generation’s scratch resistance. Those are Google’s product claims, not a reason to assume the display needs no added protection. A protector can still help guard against everyday scratches, but it adds another surface between you and the display.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
- Choose clear glass if you want a conventional transparent surface and do not need privacy or a special coating.
- Choose privacy glass if limiting visibility from side angles matters more than sharing the screen easily. Privacy treatment can make viewing less convenient for people beside you.
- Consider anti-reflective or other specialty options if glare or a particular surface treatment is your priority. Product names alone do not establish how much a coating changes reflections or image appearance.
- Check installation materials if alignment is a concern. Some listed products include an installation frame or tray; that can make positioning easier, but it does not prove a particular protector is easier to install in practice.
Case fit is another practical check: a case lip may overlap a protector’s edge. The available product evidence does not establish universal case compatibility, so check the protector and case maker’s specific fit guidance rather than assuming a certified protector is case-friendly.
Google-certified protectors for Pixel 11 Pro XL
Google’s Pixel Help page lists the following products for the Pixel 11 Pro XL. The model-specific names and SKUs are useful for avoiding a purchase intended for a different Pixel 11 size. Certification is evidence of compatibility, not a comparative performance test or guarantee that every option feels the same.

What the named options offer—and what their claims mean
Mous Tempered Glass
The Google Store listing presents a Pixel 11 Pro XL size and includes an installation frame and cleaning kit. Google’s compatibility page identifies the XL tempered-glass SKU as TEM-A1158-CLRGLS-000-W1. Those details make it a straightforward option to compare if you want clear tempered glass with installation materials; they do not establish a tested advantage over other certified products.

ZAGG XTR5
The Google Store listing describes XTR5 as aluminosilicate tempered glass and identifies an EZ Apply tray for the XL version. ZAGG claims it is up to 11 times stronger than basic glass screen protectors. Treat that figure as a manufacturer comparison claim, not an independent test of XTR5 against the other Pixel 11 Pro XL products.
ZAGG Glass Elite Privacy
This is the privacy-oriented choice in ZAGG’s listed lineup. ZAGG’s August 12, 2026 launch release also claims up to 5X strength for Glass Elite and Glass Elite Privacy. The release does not make that a head-to-head ranking of protectors certified for this phone.

No independent head-to-head comparison of these Pixel 11 Pro XL protectors is established by the cited product sources.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Will a protector affect Pixel 11 Pro XL fingerprint unlock?
It can. Google warns that even a Made for Google certified protector may result in worse fingerprint sensor performance than using no protector. Google says certified protectors are tested for compatibility with Pixel phones, unlike non-certified protectors, but certification does not mean fingerprint behavior will be identical to the bare screen.

To give the under-display sensor the best chance of reading your fingerprint, follow Google’s setup sequence:
- Apply the protector carefully. Keep the display and protector free of debris and bubbles, and make sure the protector makes full contact with the screen.
- After applying it, scan the QR code on the protector package. Do this before enrolling a fingerprint.
- Set up Fingerprint Unlock after scanning the code, following the phone’s on-screen prompts.
- If recognition is initially less reliable, allow time for recalibration. Google says performance may improve over the first hours or days.
These steps are Google’s guidance, not a promise that every protector will perform equally well. The setup details are on Google’s screen-protector and Fingerprint Unlock support page.
How to make the final choice
- Confirm the exact device: choose a product explicitly listed for Pixel 11 Pro XL and, where available, match its SKU against Google’s compatibility page.
- Pick the surface: clear glass for a conventional view, privacy glass to restrict side viewing, or an anti-reflective or specialty option if its specific treatment suits your needs.
- Check the installation kit: look for a frame or tray if alignment help matters to you. Mous Tempered Glass and ZAGG XTR5 have installation materials identified in their Google Store listings.
- Check your case separately: confirm the case maker’s guidance for edge clearance; the certification list is not a universal case-fit guarantee.
- Follow Google’s fingerprint sequence: apply carefully, scan the package QR code, then register fingerprints.
Google’s Pixel 11 launch announcement, compatibility and setup guidance, and product listings provide the relevant model and setup details. ZAGG’s launch claims are in its August 12, 2026 release.
