There is no single best Elementor replacement. Choose Gutenberg with GenerateBlocks or Spectra for a native, potentially leaner WordPress stack; Bricks or Oxygen for developer-level control; Brizy or Breakdance for an approachable visual workflow; Beaver Builder for stable client handoffs; and Divi for a broad visual-design ecosystem. Your choice should follow the editor model, performance target, licensing preference, hosting arrangement and migration risk you can accept.
The prices and feature positions below reflect 2026 comparison data. Builder pricing, plan names and included features can change, so confirm the current checkout terms before purchasing.

Quick answer: which Elementor alternative fits your situation?
Start with the outcome you need rather than with a feature checklist. The following shortlist maps common WordPress jobs to the tools positioned for them.
| Primary need | Shortlist | Why it fits |
|---|---|---|
| Native WordPress editing and a leaner stack | Gutenberg plus GenerateBlocks or Spectra | Uses the core block editor and adds block patterns or controls without replacing WordPress’s native editing model. |
| Granular control for an experienced builder | Bricks or Oxygen | Both are positioned around developer control, detailed styling and performance-conscious output. |
| Visual editing with a gentler learning curve | Brizy or Breakdance | Their inline or approachable visual workflows are aimed at beginners and marketers. |
| Reliable agency or client handoff | Beaver Builder | The comparison emphasizes stable output and a predictable handoff to clients. |
| Broad visual-design options | Divi | It remains a wide visual-design system and offers recurring and lifetime licensing choices in the comparison. |
Leaving Elementor does not automatically make a site faster. A builder is only one part of the page-delivery path; theme code, third-party plugins, fonts, images, caching, database work and hosting capacity can dominate the result.

What an Elementor alternative actually changes
An alternative can replace one or more layers of your current setup:
- Editor model: You may move from a visual canvas to WordPress’s block editor, or to a more code-oriented builder.
- Front-end output: Different builders generate different markup, stylesheets and scripts. A leaner output can help, but only when the rest of the site is also disciplined.
- Theme and template control: Some products center on page-level design; others are intended to control site-wide templates and reusable layouts.
- Commerce and dynamic content: WooCommerce stores, custom fields and archive templates require checking the target builder’s current support before migration.
- Client handoff: A client who can edit native blocks may need a different training path from one who uses a visual canvas.
- Licensing and hosting: Annual, one-time and lifetime-style options have different renewal and budgeting implications. Most plugins still run on your existing WordPress hosting.
- Lock-in: Content saved as ordinary WordPress blocks is usually easier to move than content stored in proprietary widgets or shortcodes.
These differences matter more than a long list of individual widgets. Inventory your templates, post types, forms, shop pages and custom CSS before selecting a replacement.

Gutenberg with GenerateBlocks or Spectra: the native route
Gutenberg is WordPress’s native block editor, so it is the most direct way to leave a third-party page-builder canvas while staying inside the standard WordPress editing experience. The 2026 comparison reports Gutenberg on more than 100 million active sites, a figure reported by Elementor rather than an independent usage audit.
Why choose this stack
- Editors work with WordPress blocks instead of learning a separate canvas.
- Pages can be assembled from core blocks and extended with GenerateBlocks or Spectra when the core set is not enough.
- The approach can produce a leaner stack because you are not required to replace the whole editor with a large application layer.
- Native blocks are generally a more portable content model than proprietary widgets, although extension-specific blocks still need their extension installed.
Where it demands more work
Gutenberg does not guarantee that every Elementor layout can be reproduced with one click. Complex responsive compositions, global design systems, dynamic templates and bespoke widgets may need to be rebuilt. Teams accustomed to dragging a complete visual section onto a canvas may find block spacing, patterns and reusable styles less immediate at first.

GenerateBlocks and Spectra are extensions, not separate hosting platforms. Keep a record of which extension blocks appear in posts and templates so a future migration does not remove their rendering support.

Bricks
Bricks is positioned for developers who want a visual interface without giving up granular control. It is a fit when you are comfortable making decisions about structure, responsive behavior, reusable templates and performance trade-offs rather than relying on a preset widget library.
Choose Bricks when your team values detailed control and is willing to maintain a builder-specific design system. The annual license means you should include renewal costs in the site’s long-term budget.
Oxygen
Oxygen takes an even more code-oriented position in the comparison. Its $129 indicative price is shown as a one-time license, which can appeal to an owner who prefers an upfront purchase over recurring billing. One-time licensing does not remove the need to check what future updates, support and site counts are included.
Oxygen is better suited to an experienced implementer than to a first-time site owner. A highly controlled system can be efficient when one person or team owns the architecture, but it can make an inexperienced handoff harder if the original developer leaves without documentation.

Brizy and Breakdance: approachable visual workflows
Brizy
Brizy is aimed at beginners and marketers who want inline, visual editing. Its comparison price starts at $60 per year, and it is unusual in this shortlist because the comparison also notes a cloud option. A cloud deployment can change who manages the server layer, while the WordPress version still follows the normal plugin-and-hosting model.

- [Easy Disassemble] Making incidental repairs quick and easy! Very nice, flexible cable
- [Dont Hesite to Order] 24 hours customer services and professional technology team are standing by
Brizy makes sense for landing pages and marketing teams that prioritize seeing the design while editing. Before committing, test a representative page containing your forms, responsive breakpoints, reusable sections and any dynamic data your site relies on.
Breakdance
Breakdance is also positioned as an approachable visual builder, but the indicative starting price is higher at $199 per year. That premium can be reasonable for a team that values its workflow, provided the editing gains outweigh the recurring cost and your hosting can support the resulting WordPress installation.
Neither approachable interface eliminates the need for governance. Define who can change global styles, which templates are locked and how a marketer should create a new page without accidentally altering the site-wide header or footer.

Beaver Builder: a handoff-oriented option
Beaver Builder is positioned around stable output and client handoffs. That makes it relevant to agencies and freelancers who build a site and then transfer routine editing to a client. The indicative starting price is $99 per year.
Evaluate it by performing the handoff before migration: create a staging copy, give a non-developer the routine tasks they will actually perform, and document where global templates, reusable sections and content settings live. A builder that feels slightly less flexible to the developer may still reduce support work if the client can safely maintain it.
Divi: broad visual design with licensing choice
Divi remains the broad visual-design option in this comparison. Its indicative starting price is $89 per year, and the comparison shows both recurring and lifetime licensing choices. Because lifetime terms, eligibility and included updates can change, confirm the current offer rather than assuming an old lifetime deal is still available.

Divi is a sensible candidate when a team wants a mature visual design system and is comfortable keeping the site on WordPress hosting. It is not automatically a performance upgrade: measure the complete page after rebuilding, including fonts, image sizes, scripts and third-party integrations.
Which alternative is faster than Elementor?
No supplied comparison provides a controlled, apples-to-apples speed test, so it would be inaccurate to declare a universal winner. Bricks and Oxygen emphasize performance and control; Gutenberg extensions are often selected by people seeking a leaner stack. Those are design goals, not a guarantee that every installation will beat Elementor.
Use a repeatable test instead of a brand claim
- Clone the production site to staging and keep the same theme, plugins, images, fonts, content and hosting class.
- Record a baseline for the same representative pages: a simple page, a long marketing page, a blog archive and a WooCommerce page if applicable.
- Replace one builder at a time. Do not change caching, image optimization and hosting during the builder comparison.
- Test logged-out and logged-in views, mobile and desktop widths, first load and repeat load.
- Check layout stability, JavaScript errors, form submission, menus, pop-ups, schema output and editor usability, not only a single performance score.
- Repeat after enabling the production cache and CDN configuration you will actually use.
A builder that scores well on a blank page may perform poorly once it carries your real templates and integrations. Treat any speed improvement as site-specific evidence.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Is Gutenberg good enough to replace Elementor?
For many brochure sites, blogs and content-led marketing sites, yes. Gutenberg plus a focused extension can cover headings, columns, media, buttons, reusable patterns and ordinary page layouts while keeping the native editor.
It may not be the shortest path for a site built around numerous Elementor-only widgets, elaborate motion effects, complex theme-builder conditions or custom integrations. In that case, estimate the rebuild of every template and widget before deciding that the lower plugin footprint compensates for the migration labor.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteThe practical test is to recreate three real pages in a staging site: your most visited landing page, a typical article and the most complicated template. If the block workflow handles those pages without a growing pile of one-off CSS and extensions, it is a credible replacement for your site.

WooCommerce and dynamic content: verify before you rebuild
Builder comparisons commonly list WooCommerce and dynamic-content support, but support is not the same as feature parity. A store may depend on product archives, cart and checkout styling, account pages, custom fields, conditional templates or a third-party form integration.
Make a requirements inventory
- List every WooCommerce template you currently override.
- Record dynamic fields used in posts, products and archive cards.
- Identify forms, pop-ups, memberships, multilingual features and analytics scripts tied to the current builder.
- Mark which layouts must be editable by a client after launch.
- Ask the candidate’s current documentation and support team how each requirement is implemented in the version you will buy.
Do this before purchasing a license. A visually attractive replacement that cannot reproduce one critical checkout or dynamic template is not a practical replacement.
Do you need new hosting when leaving Elementor?
Usually not. Bricks, Divi and Spectra generally still run on ordinary WordPress hosting, and the other WordPress-based choices follow the same basic arrangement. Brizy is the exception in this shortlist because a cloud option is also noted; choosing that route changes the hosting responsibility rather than requiring a new server for every migration.
Changing builders is not the same as changing hosts. Keep the current host when it has adequate PHP resources, database performance, backups, staging and caching for the replacement. Consider a hosting move separately if the existing environment is the reason for slow responses, unreliable cron jobs or inadequate staging.
Migration from Elementor or Divi without losing content
Plan migration as a rebuild with a rollback path, not as a plugin swap. Moving away from Elementor or Divi can leave broken shortcodes or unformatted text, depending on how the original content was stored.
- Freeze the baseline. Export a full database and file backup, record active plugins and capture screenshots of key pages at desktop and mobile widths.
- Inventory dependencies. List headers, footers, archives, single templates, forms, pop-ups, WooCommerce views, custom fields, global colors, fonts and snippets of custom CSS or JavaScript.
- Create staging. Work on a password-protected clone with indexing disabled. Keep production untouched until acceptance testing is complete.
- Choose the target model. Decide whether the replacement is Gutenberg-based, visual or code-oriented. Document who will edit it and which templates must remain locked.
- Rebuild global structure first. Recreate the theme settings, header, footer, navigation, typography, spacing and reusable sections before individual pages.
- Rebuild representative content. Convert one simple page, one long page, one article and every special template. Note any widget that has no direct equivalent.
- Clean old markup. Inspect the rendered HTML and editor content for orphaned shortcodes, empty wrappers, duplicate styles and text that lost its formatting.
- Reconnect integrations. Test forms, email delivery, analytics, search, redirects, structured data, memberships and commerce flows.
- Run visual and functional checks. Compare mobile and desktop layouts, keyboard navigation, image alternatives, headings, links, cookie behavior and logged-in versus logged-out views.
- Cut over with a rollback. Schedule a low-traffic deployment, take a fresh backup, keep the old installation available and monitor error logs and conversion paths after launch.
Do not delete Elementor or Divi from production until the replacement renders every affected URL correctly. Removing the old plugin too early can turn a fixable migration into a recovery exercise.
Annual, one-time and lifetime-style licensing
Licensing changes the break-even point more than the headline price suggests. Annual plans spread the initial cost but create a renewal decision; one-time pricing reduces recurring billing but requires checking the support and update terms; lifetime-style offers can be attractive for agencies but may have conditions that change over time.

A practical decision framework
Answer these questions in order:
- Who edits the site? A developer who controls the code can exploit Bricks or Oxygen; a marketing team may prefer Brizy, Breakdance or a block workflow.
- How portable must the content be? Favor native blocks when minimizing proprietary lock-in is the priority.
- What is the performance target? Test the complete site. Do not select a builder solely because its marketing emphasizes speed.
- Do you need site-wide templates or only page layouts? Template-heavy sites require a candidate that supports your archive, single and commerce requirements in the current version.
- How will handoff work? Give the actual editor a staging task and observe where errors occur.
- What licensing pattern can you sustain? Compare renewal exposure, site count and support needs rather than only the first-year price.
- Can you accept a rebuild? If the answer is no, keep the current builder until you have tested a representative migration.
For a native WordPress direction, begin with Gutenberg and one extension rather than installing several block packs at once. For developer control, compare Bricks and Oxygen on the same staging templates. For visual simplicity, let the people who will publish pages test Brizy and Breakdance. For agency work, include a real client handoff test with Beaver Builder. For a broad visual system with licensing flexibility, evaluate Divi against your performance and renewal requirements.
