Microsoft documents mobile apps for Android and iPhone that can view, edit, sync and search cloud-based notebooks. Notion is another officially confirmed iOS and Android option, while Google Keep and Evernote may suit simpler or more feature-rich capture workflows. If you already use Samsung Notes, its OneNote feed is not a two-way replacement: notes sent there cannot be edited or removed from the feed.
What note app works on both iPhone and Samsung?
For a single shared notebook that remains editable across the two phones, start with OneNote. Microsoft says its iPhone and Android apps can view, edit, sync and search cloud-based notebooks. Its iPhone app is described as a free standalone download; Microsoft 365 also includes OneNote, but that inclusion alone does not mean a paid plan is required for basic mobile use. Check Microsoft’s current plan and storage terms if those limits matter to you.

Notion is also available as an app for iOS and Android, according to its official mobile page. That establishes availability on both platforms, not identical feature sets or offline behavior. Google Keep and Evernote are worth considering for particular note-taking styles, but the evidence available here does not establish a current, like-for-like feature or plan comparison for all four apps.

How do I sync Samsung Notes with an iPhone?
Samsung’s documented connection is to sync selected Samsung Notes folders to a Microsoft account and view those synced notes in the OneNote feed through Outlook on a PC. It is not the same as running Samsung Notes on an iPhone, nor does it make those feed copies fully editable from OneNote.

Samsung Support states: “You cannot edit or remove notes from Samsung Notes using the OneNote feed. To edit your notes, you will need to use the Samsung Notes app.” In practice, this means continuing to create and change the originals in Samsung Notes; the feed is for access to synced notes, not a shared editing workflow between Samsung Notes and iPhone.
Samsung’s instructions also describe choosing which folders sync and whether syncing uses Wi-Fi only or Wi-Fi plus mobile data. How to choose the right app for both phones
Choose OneNote for a shared, editable notebook
Use OneNote as the primary notebook on both devices if the key requirement is to open and edit the same cloud-based notes on Samsung and iPhone. Microsoft lists mobile support for both operating systems and the core view, edit, sync and search functions. Check current storage and account terms if you need to know how much you can store or which account features apply.

Notion makes sense if you want notes alongside other workspace material. Its official page confirms iOS and Android availability, but does not by itself answer whether a particular feature works the same way or offline on both phones.

Consider Keep for simplicity
TechRadar presents Google Keep as a simple, minimal option. Treat that as broad editorial positioning rather than a current feature audit: confirm the app’s official availability and the specific capture or sync capabilities you need before choosing it for a cross-platform workflow.
Consider Evernote for capture and organization
TechRadar describes Evernote’s organization around notebooks, notes and tags, plus a web clipper for saving webpages, text, images and PDFs, and reminders. It also discusses free and paid plans. Those descriptions do not establish today’s prices or which features are included in each plan, so check Evernote’s current terms before relying on a particular entitlement.

What to check before moving your notes
- Both-platform app support: Confirm that the app has a native Android app for your Samsung phone and an iPhone app. Official documentation in the sources here confirms this for OneNote and Notion.
- Editing, not just access: Decide whether you need to edit the same note on both phones. Samsung Notes notes shown in the OneNote feed are not editable or removable there.
- Your capture and organization needs: Consider quick minimal notes, handwriting, notebooks and tags, web clipping, or a broader workspace. The available Keep and Evernote descriptions are not a complete side-by-side audit of these capabilities.
- Account and plan requirements: Check which account you need and whether a paid plan is necessary for a feature you will actually use. Current plan and storage terms have not been established comparably across these apps.
- Existing Samsung Notes workflow: Choose whether to keep authoring in Samsung Notes and access synced copies through the feed, or make a cross-platform app such as OneNote your main notebook. These are different workflows, not interchangeable sync modes.
