Can you play with a Switch 2 Pro Controller?
Nintendo lists the Switch 2 Pro Controller as compatible with the console, so it is the strongest conventional-controller alternative to Joy-Con 2 in the official compatibility information. The game description’s reference to switching between mouse and button controls supports the existence of button control, but it does not spell out which buttons or controllers are supported for each action. Treat the Pro Controller as a console-compatible option, not as a confirmed substitute for Joy-Con 2 mouse input.

Do you need Joy-Con 2 for mouse controls?
Joy-Con 2 are the only controllers the game page specifically connects to its mouse-control feature. Nintendo describes using that feature to move units and access information. If you want those announced mouse interactions, Joy-Con 2 are the supported choice named in the game description. If you prefer buttons, the page says you can switch control styles; it does not provide a detailed mapping or confirm feature parity across controllers.

Nintendo says original Switch Joy-Con and the original Switch Pro Controller can pair wirelessly with Switch 2. That is console-level compatibility, not confirmation that every game supports each controller or that they reproduce the game’s Joy-Con 2 mouse features.

Is the Joy-Con 2 charging grip required?
No. Nintendo lists a Joy-Con 2 charging grip or charging stand as an accessory option for charging compatible controllers. A charging accessory is not a separate controller and is not a gameplay requirement for Fortune’s Weave.
