If you want gaming audio without giving up desk or floor space to a subwoofer, start with the Creative Pebble Pro. Its small 2.0 speakers offer USB-C, 3.5 mm and Bluetooth connections, and PC Gamer found dialogue clear and gaming sound useful. The trade-off is straightforward: compact stereo speakers can make voices and effects easier to hear, but they will not deliver the deep, room-shaking bass of a separate subwoofer.

| Creative Pebble Pro | A very small desk setup, clear dialogue and flexible wired inputs | USB-C, 3.5 mm and Bluetooth 5.3; PC Gamer recommends a wired connection for best sound and reports Bluetooth uses SBC. [PC Gamer] | PC Gamer lists each speaker at 123 × 123 × 118 mm. USB input alone limits output to 20 W; a separate USB-C adapter rated at least 30 W enables the 30 W mode, according to PC Gamer. [PC Gamer] | PC Gamer reports clear dialogue and useful gaming sound, with less convincing low-frequency performance than mids and treble. |
| Logitech Z207 | Convenient Bluetooth switching between devices | Bluetooth pairing for two devices plus a 3.5 mm input, according to Logitech. | Logitech lists 10 W peak / 5 W RMS. Speaker dimensions and included power accessories are not stated on the cited product page. | Logitech describes one active driver and one passive radiator in each speaker. The cited information does not establish how its sound compares directly with Pebble Pro. |
Why compact 2.0 speakers cannot replace a subwoofer
A 2.0 set has two speakers and no separate subwoofer. That saves space and avoids another box and cable, but it also limits how much deep bass the system can produce. PC Gamer’s review of Pebble Pro says its mids and treble are more convincing than its low-frequency output and that it will not provide subwoofer-like bass impact. Treat any compact 2.0 system as a space-saving stereo option, not a subwoofer replacement.
PC Gamer lists Pebble Pro’s stated frequency response as 80–20,000 Hz; that is a specification reported in the review, not an independent measurement of its performance in a room. Logitech’s passive radiators are part of the Z207 design, but their presence is not evidence that the speakers replace a subwoofer.

What to check before buying
Measure the space the speakers will actually occupy
“Compact” does not tell you whether a speaker will fit beside a monitor or under a shelf. PC Gamer lists Pebble Pro at 123 × 123 × 118 mm per speaker; Tom’s Guide reports 4.84 × 4.84 × 4.65 inches. Check the dimensions and allow room for cables and access to the controls. [PC Gamer] [Tom’s Guide]
Pebble Pro’s drivers are angled, which PC Gamer identifies as useful for a close desktop listening position. That orientation is most relevant when the speakers sit on the desk and point toward you.

Use a wired connection for gaming when practical
Pebble Pro accepts USB-C and 3.5 mm inputs as well as Bluetooth 5.3. PC Gamer recommends wired use for the best sound and notes the Bluetooth connection uses SBC. The cited sources do not provide comparative latency measurements, so they do not support a precise claim about delay. If you want the simplest latency-sensitive setup, connect the speakers by wire rather than assuming Bluetooth will behave identically.

Its distinctive convenience is Bluetooth pairing with two devices, which Logitech says allows switching between paired sources. Choose it if that switching matters more than the additional wired-input flexibility listed for Pebble Pro.

Account for Pebble Pro’s power requirement
PC Gamer reports that Pebble Pro is limited to 20 W when powered from USB input alone. To enable its 30 W mode, it says to use an external USB-C power adapter rated at least 30 W; that adapter is not included. PC Gamer also reports 30 W RMS with an external adapter. Check the precise regional package and Creative’s current power guidance before buying or reusing an adapter; do not assume the higher-power mode is available from a computer’s USB port alone. [PC Gamer]
These are review-reported specifications, not an independent measurement of how loud or powerful the speakers will sound in your room. Logitech lists the Z207 at 10 W peak / 5 W RMS on its product page; peak and RMS figures describe different ratings and should not be compared as if they were the same measurement. [Logitech]

Think about controls and sound adjustment
Tom’s Guide notes that Pebble Pro lacks customizable EQ in its review. If you rely on adjustable equalization to tune games, music or dialogue, check whether your computer’s audio software can provide it. The cited sources do not establish a comparable EQ feature for Z207.

- Choose Creative Pebble Pro if desk footprint, dialogue clarity and having USB-C, 3.5 mm and Bluetooth connections are your priorities. Its compact form is a reasonable fit for desktop gaming when you accept less low-end impact than a subwoofer system.
- Choose Logitech Z207 if switching between two Bluetooth-paired devices is especially useful and a 3.5 mm input covers your wired connection needs.
- Look beyond compact 2.0 speakers if deep, forceful bass is essential. Neither the cited specifications nor the reviews establish that these models can reproduce the impact of a separate subwoofer.
What the review evidence does—and does not—show
PC Gamer’s Pebble Pro review describes clear dialogue and useful gaming sound, alongside limited bass impact; Tom’s Guide discusses the speaker’s physical size and lack of customizable EQ. Those are review observations, not a controlled comparison against Logitech Z207. Logitech’s product page documents the Z207’s design, inputs and power ratings, but does not establish a direct gaming-performance ranking against Pebble Pro. [PC Gamer] [Tom’s Guide] [Logitech]
