What these examples can teach you

Make the first screen answer the basic questions

A visitor should be able to work out who the coaching is for, what kind of change or help is offered, and what to do next. JP Teaches Photo is one example in the roundup where a headline and call to action appear before the imagery. Other sites make booking or service routes prominent. These are design approaches to consider, not evidence that one layout improves bookings for every coach.

Use proof carefully

Examples in the roundup display different forms of trust signals, including testimonials, client logos, credentials, reviews, and results pages. These can help a visitor understand a coach’s experience or read client accounts, but a displayed testimonial or badge is not independent verification of coaching outcomes. Keep claims specific, accurately attributed, and supported by permission and evidence.

Offer a useful next step for visitors who are not ready to book

Some sites use email signups, free assessments, quizzes, classes, or downloadable resources to give visitors a reason to stay connected. A lead-capture form is more informative when it tells people what they will receive and what happens after they sign up. Do not ask for contact details without explaining the value and expected follow-up.

Choose visual effects to serve the message

The examples use options such as video, photography, typography, color, white space, parallax, animation, social feeds, and large logos. Treat these as a menu of possibilities, not a checklist. A visual treatment should reinforce the niche and make the page easier to understand; it should not obscure the offer, slow access to key information, or make navigation harder.

Make navigation and contact routes easy to find

Clear menus, a booking or contact route, and layouts that work on mobile are practical priorities. Some examples also feature sticky navigation or accessibility controls. Wix’s overview identifies visual design, message clarity, usability, and conversion features as useful dimensions for evaluating coaching sites: Wix’s coaching website guide. No single effect or feature is established as universally best.

A practical scorecard for evaluating a coaching website

Use these questions while browsing examples or reviewing your own site:

  • Audience and outcome: Can a prospective client quickly tell who the coach helps and what change the service is intended to support?
  • Next action: Is there an obvious way to book, apply, schedule, or learn about services?
  • Relevant proof: Is evidence or client feedback specific to the offer, clearly presented, and properly attributed?
  • Service clarity: Can visitors understand what is included and how the coaching is delivered?
  • Stay-in-touch option: Is there a useful resource or clear reason to join an email list?
  • Distinctiveness: Does the site communicate a recognizable niche, voice, or method rather than relying only on generic coaching language?
  • Usability: Can visitors navigate the site, find contact information, and use key features on a phone?

What a small review of coaching sites found

Paperbell reports that it reviewed 19 coaching websites in its 2026 article. In that publisher-defined sample, 8 of 19 opened with a clear audience-and-outcome headline, 9 of 19 showed an obvious book, apply, or schedule path near the top, and 7 of 19 displayed social proof above the fold. All 19 had some form of email capture, but only 9 attached it to a specific free resource; none displayed coaching-package prices on the homepage. These counts describe Paperbell’s sample and review, not the coaching industry as a whole, and they do not show that a feature caused bookings: Paperbell’s 2026 review and scorecard.

How to turn inspiration into a site plan

  1. Choose a few examples with a similar audience or offer. A photographer’s coaching site and a general business coach’s site may solve different communication problems.
  2. Note the page elements, not just the aesthetic. Record the headline, primary call to action, service explanation, proof, and any email resource you can actually identify.
  3. Decide what your visitor needs to know first. Put the audience, offer, and next step where they are easy to find, then add deeper detail for people comparing options.
  4. Make proof and promises proportionate. Use accurate testimonials and credentials, explain what a service includes, and avoid implying guaranteed outcomes.
  5. Check the full visitor path. Test navigation, contact or booking links, forms, and mobile display before sharing the site.

Wix quotes Elena Blanco, described by the company as a child educator specializing in learning difficulties, saying: “One of the things that helped me grow the most was creating my own website, where I can show everyone how I can help them.” The statement reflects Blanco’s experience as presented by Wix; it is not a promise that a website will produce the same result for every coach. Wix’s article also offers a broader set of coaching-site examples and design considerations.
