Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFor a 10.2-inch iPad, first confirm that you have a 7th-, 8th-, or 9th-generation model: cases are not a safe fit for every standard iPad generation. Among the products with manufacturer-documented compatibility here, the OtterBox Symmetry Series 360 is a folio-style case, while Logitech Rugged Folio and ZAGG Rugged Book add keyboards. Those examples illustrate useful choices, but the available product information does not establish 11 current top picks or a defensible ranking.
Check your iPad generation before choosing a case
Apple identifies the 9th-generation iPad as a 10.2-inch model. It has a Home button with Touch ID, a rear camera, and a Lightning connector. The 10th-generation iPad is a different design: Apple lists a 10.86-inch display measured diagonally as a rectangle, different dimensions, a top button with Touch ID, a landscape-edge front camera, and USB-C. A case made for one generation should not be assumed to fit the other.

To confirm the device, check its model number on the back or use Apple’s iPad model-identification guide. Apple’s specifications for the 9th-generation iPad and 10th-generation iPad show why the generation matters. The 9th-generation model measures 250.6 × 174.1 × 7.5 mm; the 10th-generation model measures 248.6 × 179.5 × 7 mm.
Manufacturer-documented cases for 10.2-inch iPads

| Case | Documented compatibility | What the manufacturer describes | Best suited to |
|---|---|---|---|
| OtterBox Symmetry Series 360 | 10.2-inch iPad, 7th, 8th, and 9th generations (OtterBox) | Folio touchscreen cover, multiple stand angles, and a clear, scratch-resistant case. OtterBox also states a DROP+ rating of “1X as many drops as military standard (MIL-STD-810G 516.6).” | A folio cover and stand without an integrated keyboard |
| Logitech Rugged Folio | iPad generations 7, 8, and 9 are listed among supported models (Logitech) | A protective keyboard case | People who want a keyboard built into the case |
| ZAGG Rugged Book | 10.2-inch iPad, 7th, 8th, and 9th generations (ZAGG) | A keyboard-case option. ZAGG’s 10.2-inch iPad category also lists screen protectors for this device family. | People looking for a keyboard alongside a protective cover |
Choose by how you use the iPad
For a cover and viewing stand
A folio such as the OtterBox Symmetry Series 360 covers the screen and folds into stand positions. That can suit reading, video, or desk use without adding a keyboard. OtterBox describes it as “the best iPad (7th, 8th, and 9th gen) case with a folio for clear, scratch-resistant protection”; that is the manufacturer’s promotional wording, not an independent comparison.
For typing
Logitech Rugged Folio and ZAGG Rugged Book are keyboard-case choices. An integrated keyboard can be useful for longer writing or frequent text entry, but it adds bulk compared with a standalone case. Confirm the exact model and regional listing, and consider whether you will actually use the keyboard before choosing that trade-off.

For screen protection
A screen protector is an optional companion to a case, not a replacement for one. ZAGG’s device category lists screen protectors for the 10.2-inch iPad family.
What the protection claim does—and does not—tell you
OtterBox’s product page says the Symmetry Series 360 is rated for “1X as many drops as military standard (MIL-STD-810G 516.6).” This is OtterBox’s stated rating for that product; it does not establish how the case performs relative to Logitech, ZAGG, or other cases. The manufacturer descriptions above likewise identify features and compatibility, not independently tested comparative performance.
