There is no universal CameraFi Live preset for continuous YouTube music. Choose settings your phone and upload connection can sustain reliably, then test the complete setup—including the audio source—before broadcasting. For YouTube, use constant bitrate (CBR) and a 2-second keyframe interval where those controls are available; YouTube says not to exceed 4 seconds. A stream longer than 12 hours may not be saved as a YouTube archive, so plan a local recording if keeping the broadcast matters.
Recommended settings: start stable, then test
CameraFi’s setup guide explains how to create a YouTube live stream and choose a resolution, but it does not publish a special preset for continuous music. The right quality depends on the phone, video content, codec, frame rate, and upload connection. YouTube recommends choosing quality the connection can reliably sustain, testing with similar audio and movement, and monitoring stream health. CameraFi setup guide · YouTube encoder settings

- Resolution and frame rate: Choose a level the device and network can maintain during an actual test. A static music visual does not automatically benefit from a higher resolution if that choice makes the stream less stable.
- Bitrate: YouTube’s recommended bitrate depends on codec, resolution, and frame rate. There is no single bitrate supported as best for every phone or connection; test at the intended quality and lower it if stream health is unstable.
- Rate control: YouTube recommends CBR. If CameraFi exposes this setting for your selected setup, use it.
- Keyframes: YouTube recommends a 2-second interval and says not to exceed 4 seconds, if the encoder exposes the control.
- Codec and transport: YouTube lists H.264, H.265/HEVC, and AV1 as supported video codecs, and recommends RTMPS. CameraFi may not expose every encoder setting; use the options available in your app and verify the resulting stream in a test.
YouTube’s published audio settings list 128 Kbps and 44.1 kHz for stereo, and 384 Kbps and 48 kHz for 5.1 surround. These are YouTube guidance, not a guarantee CameraFi exposes those controls. For music, choose a supported source, listen to a test, and check for clipping, silence, or sync drift.
Set up CameraFi Live and YouTube
1. Enable live streaming on the channel
Sign in to the YouTube channel you intend to use and confirm it can go live before the scheduled broadcast. CameraFi’s July 11, 2025 setup guide says activation after enabling YouTube Live may take up to 24 hours. Do not leave channel activation until the start time. CameraFi setup guide

2. Pick the source mode and destination
In CameraFi Live, choose YouTube as the destination and select the mode that matches the content source. Camera mode is for phone or external-camera footage; CameraFi also documents screen mode and audio-source options. For a music broadcast with a fixed visual, decide whether the image comes from the camera or screen and configure audio separately. 3. Select and check the audio route
CameraFi documents built-in, wired, and Bluetooth microphone choices, adding audio files, and combining music with microphone audio. Select the route that actually carries the music, then listen through a test before going public. Do not assume that a phone can capture internal audio in every configuration: behavior depends on the phone, operating system, app setup, and connected equipment. 4. Create the YouTube stream and test privately
Use CameraFi’s YouTube workflow to set the title, privacy, and resolution, create the stream, and start a test. YouTube also supports reusable stream settings and stream keys. Treat the stream key like a password: do not publish or share it, and reset it if you think it has been exposed. A test should use the same phone, network, audio route, resolution, and kind of visual movement planned for the real broadcast. Music rights: check every track before going live
You need the necessary rights for the music and other content in the broadcast. YouTube’s live-stream terms specifically include music licensing rights from artists, record labels, publishers, and other rights participants. YouTube scans live streams for third-party content; if identified content remains, the broadcast may be interrupted or terminated. If you have licensed third-party music, YouTube says to ask the owner to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist, because a licensed track can still trigger an interruption otherwise. CameraFi’s Google Play listing refers to free copyright music files as background music; that does not grant rights to arbitrary songs. Confirm the actual license for each track and that it covers the stream and any archive you intend to keep. CameraFi on Google Play
Choose a duration and protect the recording
If you need YouTube’s automatic archive, keep the broadcast under 12 hours: YouTube says a stream longer than 12 hours may not be captured at all. YouTube also warns that DVR rewind may be limited or unavailable on streams longer than 12 hours. For a longer broadcast, plan a separate local recording rather than relying on the archive. Troubleshoot common stream problems
Stream health is poor or the broadcast keeps buffering
Reduce resolution or frame rate and test again on the same connection. YouTube advises choosing quality the internet connection can reliably sustain; a brief speed test alone does not establish that a long broadcast will remain stable. Check stream health during the test and use a wired or more reliable network path if available.
The stream has no music, distorted music, or mismatched audio
Recheck the selected CameraFi audio source and its levels. Listen to a test using the actual route—built-in, wired, Bluetooth, or configured audio file—and adjust or replace it if silent, clipped, or out of sync. Internal audio capture is not guaranteed across phone and OS configurations.

YouTube interrupts the live stream
Check for a copyright or Content ID notice and verify the rights for each track. A license does not necessarily prevent an automated interruption; if the music is licensed, ask the rights owner about adding your channel to the Content ID allowlist. YouTube copyright help
The replay is missing or viewers cannot rewind far enough
Check whether the broadcast exceeded 12 hours. YouTube may not capture an archive for streams longer than that and may limit or disable DVR rewind; use CameraFi’s local-save option only after verifying it works on the device. YouTube archive help · YouTube DVR help
The planned channel cannot go live
Confirm live streaming is enabled for the correct YouTube channel and allow time for activation. CameraFi’s July 2025 guide says activation may take up to 24 hours. CameraFi setup guide
