For a low-cost 100Hz monitor for everyday office work in the US, start with the Samsung S30GD 24-inch FHD IPS. Samsung’s US pages displayed different prices for this size, so check the exact model and current listing before buying. If you prefer a 27-inch screen, the Samsung S30GD, MSI PRO MP273AW, and LG 27BA650-I are manufacturer-listed FHD IPS 100Hz options. For text-heavy work, compare 27-inch FHD with QHD: the higher resolution may make fine text more comfortable, but that is a resolution-based trade-off, not a hands-on test result.
Best budget 100Hz office monitors to consider

Prices below are manufacturer-displayed figures from US pages and can change; they are not guaranteed retailer prices.

Which screen size and resolution should you choose?
Choose 24-inch FHD for a straightforward budget setup
The Samsung S30GD 24-inch combines the verified essentials—Full HD resolution, an IPS panel, and 100Hz—in a compact office format. It is a practical starting point if price and desk space matter more than a larger screen.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteConsider text sharpness before choosing 27-inch FHD
A 27-inch FHD monitor gives you more physical screen area, but it spreads the same 1920 × 1080 pixels over a larger display than a 24-inch FHD model. If your day involves reading small text or working with detailed documents, compare it with a 27-inch QHD screen rather than assuming the larger FHD option will look sharper.

The Philips 27E1N1600AE is one QHD comparison point: ITPro’s March 13, 2026 review describes it as a 27-inch QHD 100Hz monitor with USB-C, 65W power delivery, and a USB hub. The review gives a value assessment, but its current US price and budget status are not established here. ITPro review
Is 100Hz worth it for everyday work?
100Hz can make cursor movement, scrolling, and on-screen animation look smoother than a lower refresh rate. It is a useful comfort feature, not usually the most important office-monitor specification. ITPro’s March 2026 business-monitor coverage likewise describes the office benefits as limited. Prioritize text clarity, a comfortable stand, the ports you need, and a suitable price; treat 100Hz as a welcome extra. ITPro business-monitor coverage

What to check before buying
- Exact model and price: Confirm the full model number and the seller’s current price. Samsung’s two US pages displayed different prices for its 24-inch S30GD; storefront, promotion, tax, shipping, and stock can change the final cost.
- Stand adjustment: Check the precise SKU for height adjustment, swivel, pivot, and tilt. Samsung’s S30GD listing specifies tilt-only adjustment, so do not assume it offers a fully adjustable stand.
- Ports: Verify the connection options on the product page for your exact model. The Philips review describes USB-C and a hub, but those features were not established for the Samsung, MSI, or LG models listed here.
- Resolution for your work: Compare 24-inch FHD, 27-inch FHD, and 27-inch QHD if display size and fine-text readability are both important. The QHD comparison is a resolution trade-off, not a claim based on comparative testing.
