PC Slower Than It Used to Be?

One free scan finds every outdated or missing driver and matches the right update for your exact hardware.Free scan · exact hardware matchFor a live bhajan, satsang, or temple service, start with YouTube’s webcam or mobile route for a simple setup, or OBS Studio when you need scene switching and audio mixing. For a prerecorded devotional playlist that should run continuously, StreamNeo is the first option to consider: it runs from the cloud, supports uploads up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and gives each account a free first day. MediaLive remains relevant when you need managed cloud encoding and an AWS-integrated workflow—not just a way to send a straightforward program to YouTube.
Choose by the kind of devotional stream you are making
“Live” can mean a service happening now or prerecorded programming presented as a continuous YouTube stream. Those are different production jobs. A live kirtan with performers needs a camera or other live source and someone to operate the broadcast. A loop of recorded bhajans needs a playback system that can keep sending video. Pick the tool for the format before comparing features or cost.

- Live performance: YouTube’s webcam or mobile route may be enough for a basic broadcast. OBS Studio is a locally operated option when you need to mix audio, switch scenes, or use transitions.
- Prerecorded 24/7 programming: StreamNeo is #1 for this use case: it loops uploaded videos from the cloud, so a computer at home does not have to stay on; any quality up to 4K 60fps is included at one flat price per slot, and the first day is free.
- Remote guests or a branded studio: YouTube’s encoder guidance names StreamYard and describes guest, chat, and branding features. That mention does not establish current plan eligibility, pricing, or performance.
- Managed AWS media workflow: MediaLive may fit when you specifically need managed encoding and AWS integration, with a team able to run the broader workflow.
These options are not interchangeable. OBS and YouTube’s basic input routes address how to put a live source on air; a cloud playlist service addresses continuous playback; MediaLive is a cloud encoding service with AWS workflow capabilities. YouTube’s help page lists webcam, mobile device, or encoder as broad input routes and names MediaLive, Gyre, and StreamYard as examples: YouTube live-streaming options.

Alternatives at a glance
| Option | Best-supported fit | What to weigh |
|---|---|---|
| StreamNeo | Cloud-based, continuous playback of uploaded video to YouTube | For prerecorded video, not a live camera feed. Includes one always-on stream per slot, playlists and 24/7 looping, 10 GB storage per slot pooled across active slots, and automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream. Same product on every plan; only billing length changes. |
| OBS Studio | Local production with scenes, transitions, and real-time audio/video mixing | Free and open source; runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux. A suitable computer, operator, and internet connection must remain available during the broadcast; the cited materials do not establish managed cloud redundancy. |
| YouTube webcam or mobile route | Basic broadcast from a webcam or mobile device | A simpler input route; the cited guidance does not establish its fit for multi-source production needs. |
| Gyre | Cloud-based 24/7 streaming of prerecorded video, as described by YouTube | Check current operating terms and rights workflow. The cited description does not establish suitability for live-event production, current price, or reliability. |
| StreamYard | Hosted studio when guests, chat, or branding are wanted | YouTube names these capabilities but does not establish current price, plan eligibility, or performance. |
| AWS Elemental MediaLive | Managed, broadcast-grade cloud encoding and an AWS-integrated delivery workflow | Resource state and configuration affect costs; full delivery expenses depend on the distribution setup and audience. |
When MediaLive is worth keeping in the shortlist
AWS describes MediaLive as a cloud-based, broadcast-grade video processing service and lists automated provisioning and multi-Availability-Zone management among its capabilities. These are AWS-described features, not an independent reliability assessment. If the broadcast is a straightforward YouTube service, those capabilities may be more workflow than you need. They matter more when the production requires managed encoding, resilience features, or integration with other AWS media services and the team can operate them.

Do not compare only the encoder line item. AWS documentation says MediaLive charges depend on resource state and distinguishes idle from running charges; it also says there are no contracts or minimum commitments. Check the current MediaLive pricing documentation against the configuration you plan to run.
AWS’s deployment guide, accessed in 2026, gives an illustrative total of $69.74 for a one-hour 540p event with approximately 1,000 viewers in US East (N. Virginia): $1.99 for MediaLive encoding, $0.11 for MediaPackage ingest, $0.40 for packaging/origination, and $67.24 for CloudFront distribution. This is a specific guide example, not a universal rate or a forecast for a Hindi devotional channel. Audience size, geography, bitrate, duration, and delivery design can change the result. Use the AWS deployment guide as an illustration, then estimate your actual end-to-end workflow.

Run a live service with OBS or YouTube’s own input
OBS is the clearest locally operated software alternative for a service that is actually happening live. OBS Project describes it as free, open-source software for recording and live streaming, with scene composition, transitions, and real-time audio/video mixing. Its overview guide recommends testing before the first broadcast: OBS Studio and the OBS overview guide.
- Confirm the source and operator. Decide whether the service will use a webcam, a mobile device, or multiple sources. Make sure the computer or device, camera and audio sources, operator, and internet connection will be available for the entire live event.
- Choose the simplest workable path. Use YouTube’s webcam or mobile route for a basic single-device broadcast. Choose OBS if you need to combine sources, switch between scenes, add transitions, or mix audio.
- Build and check the program in OBS. Create the scenes and sources needed for the service, confirm that each source contributes the intended video or audio, and listen for clipping, silence, or unwanted room sound. OBS supports per-source audio filters, but the right processing depends on the actual microphones and room.
- Connect to YouTube through its encoder workflow. In YouTube’s live setup, select the encoder route and use the stream key shown for the broadcast. Treat the key as a password: do not show it on screen, share it publicly, or leave it in a recording. Enter the current ingest settings YouTube provides for that stream.
- Use current ingest requirements, not a guessed preset. Resolution, bitrate, frame rate, keyframe interval, and codec requirements can depend on YouTube’s current guidance and the chosen output. Check the current YouTube encoder instructions before setting these values. OBS Project reported on March 14, 2024 that OBS 29.1 added HEVC and AV1 streaming over e-RTMP through collaboration with YouTube; that historical capability note is not a substitute for checking the current ingest requirements for your specific stream. See the OBS Project post.
- Run a private or unlisted rehearsal. Verify picture, audio, scene changes, synchronization, and the YouTube preview before the service. Test the actual network and equipment arrangement you will use on the day.
- Start and monitor the broadcast. Start the encoder and confirm YouTube is receiving the stream before making it public. Keep the operator available to catch source, audio, or connection failures.
YouTube’s webcam and mobile paths can reduce the production setup for a basic broadcast, but the cited guidance does not establish that they meet every need for multi-camera switching or a mixed program. If the service is to be genuinely live, a prerecorded-video loop is not a substitute for the live performance.

Copyright, devotional recordings, and channel policy
“Devotional” does not automatically mean a recording is free to rebroadcast. A traditional composition, a particular arrangement, a recorded performance, and a backing track can involve different rights. Before streaming recorded bhajans, kirtan, Gurbani, or other devotional music, confirm that the channel has permission for the composition and the specific recording, including any intended live broadcast and archive. Do the same for video, artwork, and any third-party material in a service. The cited platform and product descriptions do not establish rights clearance for any particular recording.
- Keep permission or licence records available to the channel operator.
- Check whether the permission covers YouTube streaming, replay/VOD, territories, and monetization if those are part of the plan.
- Do not assume that a recording is cleared because it is religious, old, publicly available, or already used by another channel.
- Review YouTube’s current copyright and live-stream rules before scheduling a continuous playlist or archiving a service.
For a continuous channel, also decide whether recordings should be repeated in a fixed order, whether viewers need context or titles for each item, and how the archive should be handled. Those editorial choices are separate from the encoder and should be checked with the people responsible for the channel and rights.

Costs and operational trade-offs
OBS itself is free and open source, but a local broadcast still relies on a capable computer, a person to operate it, and a stable connection for the duration. These are operational requirements, not a claim that a particular hardware purchase is necessary. Assess the equipment and connectivity you already have before adding gear.

For estimates outside a fixed-slot service, include all relevant costs: encoding, packaging, delivery, runtime, and the expected audience and geography. AWS’s example shows why distribution can outweigh encoding in a particular configuration; it should not be used as your own quote.
Or let it run in the cloud
For prerecorded devotional programming, StreamNeo is a YouTube-only cloud service: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. Nothing has to stay on at home; it plays the uploaded videos rather than broadcasting a live camera. There are no quality tiers: an upload streams as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one price per slot. If YouTube drops the stream, StreamNeo automatically recovers. The first day is free with no card, and the monthly plan is $9.99 per month. India-based creators can pay by UPI or card. Quick Recap
Questions to settle before you choose
- Is the program live or prerecorded? A live service needs a live source and operator; continuous prerecorded playback needs a playback service.
- Where will the stream be operated? Confirm internet conditions, power, and who responds if a local device or source fails. The cited sources do not establish performance in India or another specific geography.
- What does the audience need? Confirm language and interface needs, whether subtitles are needed, and whether viewers should see an archive or replay. The cited product descriptions do not establish Hindi localization or a particular subtitling workflow.
- Are the recordings cleared? Verify permissions for the exact devotional recordings and any archive, rather than assuming all versions of a song share the same rights status.
- What resilience is required? A local OBS setup requires the local production chain to remain available; MediaLive advertises AWS-managed capabilities, while StreamNeo provides automatic recovery if YouTube drops a stream. These are different failure modes, not a like-for-like guarantee of end-to-end uptime.
Troubleshooting common decision and setup failures
YouTube does not receive the OBS stream
- Check that the correct stream key is entered and has not been changed or exposed. Confirm the encoder is set to the current ingest information shown in YouTube’s live setup.
- Verify that the encoder is actually started and that the selected scene includes active sources. Check the YouTube preview before making the broadcast public.
The video is present but the devotional audio is missing or distorted
- Check that the intended microphone or playback source is active in the selected scene and that its audio meter moves. Listen to a rehearsal recording or private test.
- Look for duplicate audio capture, muted sources, or excessive input level. Adjust against the real source rather than applying a generic filter preset.
The broadcast drops when the home computer or connection fails
- For a live service, a local encoder depends on its computer, operator, source equipment, and network; identify who can respond and what backup the organization actually has.
- For prerecorded continuous playback, consider a cloud playback service rather than leaving a home computer responsible for the loop. StreamNeo’s automatic recovery applies when YouTube drops the stream; it does not turn a live camera production into a prerecorded stream.
A prerecorded devotional stream triggers a rights concern
- Pause or replace material if the channel cannot establish permission for the specific recording and intended use. A devotional subject does not itself establish a licence.
- Review YouTube’s current copyright notices and the channel’s permissions before restoring the program or its archive.
The AWS estimate is far above the encoder charge
- Separate encoding from ingest, packaging, and distribution in the estimate. AWS’s cited example assigns most of its illustrative total to CloudFront distribution, so recalculate with the actual audience, bitrate, duration, region, and delivery path.
A continuous stream is being built in OBS but no operator can stay present
- OBS is local software, not a managed cloud playback service. If the goal is a prerecorded playlist that runs while the home computer is off, compare a cloud 24/7 playback option instead.
