Set up the A50 X before adjusting sound
Confirm the headset is connected to the platform you intend to use and is selected in that system’s audio settings and, where relevant, the game or chat app. The A50 X uses PLAYSYNC to switch among Xbox, PS5 and PC/Mac. Best Astro A50 X EQ: adjust for your own game
The official sources reviewed confirm that the A50 X can be customized, but do not publish specific slider values or an official preset for footsteps, FPS games, music, or streaming. A universal numerical “best Astro A50 X EQ” therefore is not established.

- Open G HUB and select the A50 X to view its available audio controls.
- Save or note the current settings so you can return to them.
- Choose one goal—such as clearer game detail or a more comfortable overall sound—and make modest changes rather than moving several controls sharply at once.
- Listen to representative game audio at a comfortable volume, then compare with your previous settings. Keep the change only if it improves the sound for you.
This is general, preference-led advice, not a Logitech recommendation or a product-tested EQ profile. If a particular game sounds poor, judge changes in that game rather than assuming one profile will suit every title.
Astro A50 X game chat mix: balance voices and gameplay
Use the on-ear Game/Chat balance control while both game audio and a voice call are active. Move it toward chat when teammates are difficult to understand; move it toward game when voices overpower gameplay. Adjust a little at a time, then reassess both sources together. Logitech confirms the balance control is available for Xbox, PC and PS5. Astro A50 X mic settings and choppy-mic fixes
If others say your mic cuts out, sounds choppy, or is unclear, check the Noise Gate before changing unverified gain or EQ values. Logitech Support warns that an overly aggressive Noise Gate can cause choppy or unclear microphone audio and recommends turning it off in G HUB or G Mobile when diagnosing that symptom. Logitech publishes a 16-bit, 48 kHz LIGHTSPEED microphone uplink specification for the A50 X. That is a manufacturer specification, not a recommended gain, Noise Gate threshold, microphone EQ curve, or independent measure of how your voice will sound. Logitech G A50 X specifications

When to check firmware
If microphone quality or Xbox Game/Voice balance reporting remains problematic after the checks above, consult Logitech’s current support and software information for the headset. Logitech’s release notes say A50 X firmware 1.1.26 fixed degraded microphone quality on certain systems, improved HDMI compatibility with certain monitors, and fixed Xbox Game/Voice balance reporting.
