The strongest alternatives to the vivo X Fold6 are the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7, Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold and Honor Magic V5. Which one makes the most sense depends on what you value most: a comfortable cover screen, low weight, a preferred software ecosystem, or the X Fold6’s advertised battery and charging figures. The available specifications support a priority-based shortlist, not a universal winner.
The X Fold6 is a 2026 book-style foldable announced in China on June 26 and sold there from July 1. vivo’s launch announcement lists a China launch price starting at CNY 7,999; that is not a current international price. [vivo’s launch announcement]

Its announcement also claims an equivalent 7,000 mAh battery, 80 W wired charging, 40 W wireless charging, IPX8/IPX9 water resistance and IP5X dust resistance. These are manufacturer-stated figures and protection claims, not independent test results. [vivo’s launch announcement]

Those figures make the X Fold6 a useful reference point, but battery capacity and charging wattage alone do not establish real-world endurance or charging time. Nor do screen diagonals tell the whole story about aspect ratio, folded comfort or usable area.

Which alternative should you choose?
Choose the Galaxy Z Fold7 for Samsung’s ecosystem and listed camera hardware
Samsung’s specification sheet gives the Z Fold7 a 6.5-inch cover screen and names three rear camera modules, including a 10 MP 3× telephoto. Those details make it a practical candidate if cover-screen use and camera flexibility matter to you. They do not prove that its photos are better than those from the other phones; that would require comparable camera testing. Check Samsung’s official specifications for storage and the complete configuration. [Samsung specifications]

Choose the Pixel 10 Pro Fold if dimensions and Google fit matter most
Google publishes folded and unfolded dimensions as well as a 9.1 oz weight, giving buyers concrete figures to assess pocketability and handling. If you prefer Pixel software or already use Google services, those preferences may be more important than a small difference in inner-screen diagonal. The cited specification page does not establish that the Pixel has superior software support or camera results. [Google specifications]
Consider the Honor Magic V5 where you can verify local support
The dated comparison reports a 7.95-inch inner screen, 6.43-inch cover screen, 5,820 mAh battery and IP58 rating. Its price context and availability notes describe the market in 2025, so use them only as historical context—not a current offer or guarantee that the phone is sold or serviced where you live. [TechRadar comparison]
Stay with the X Fold6 if its specific strengths match your use
The X Fold6 has the largest stated inner-screen diagonal in this comparison and vivo advertises a particularly high battery-capacity figure and fast charging. Treat those as reasons to investigate, not proof of longer battery life or faster real-world charging: the cited material does not include standardized independent tests against the alternatives. Its OriginOS multitasking features may also appeal if you expect to work with several windows on the inner display. [vivo launch announcement]

Cover screens, cameras and battery: what the figures do—and do not—tell you
Cover-screen usability is more than diagonal size
The listed cover-screen diagonals are 6.5 inches for the Galaxy Z Fold7, 6.43 inches for the Magic V5 and 6.51 inches for the X Fold6. The cited Pixel specification page provides folded dimensions but no cover-screen diagonal in this comparison. A diagonal cannot tell you by itself whether typing, one-handed reach or app layouts will feel comfortable; screen proportions and software behavior matter too.

Battery capacity and charging claims are not endurance tests

The available sources do not provide directly comparable battery-life or charging-time test results for these models. [vivo launch announcement; TechRadar comparison]

Availability and purchase checks by country
A product page or launch report does not establish stock, warranty coverage or repair service in every country. vivo has a Europe-facing X Fold6 product page, but that does not prove current retail stock or service in each European market. TechRadar reported that the Magic V5 had reached the UK and Europe in 2025; a later October 2026 report described select European availability for the X Fold6 and no UK or US launch at that point. These reports are dated, and availability can change. [vivo Europe product page; TechRadar Magic V5 comparison]
Before buying any of these phones, confirm the exact local model and SKU with the manufacturer or retailer. Check carrier-band compatibility, warranty terms, authorized repair options, return policy and whether the software version and services match your market. For the X Fold6, distinguish the China model and its OriginOS configuration from the existence of a Europe-facing product page. [vivo China specifications; vivo Europe product page]
